I need to work

I’m so sucking at my pre-writing for my NaNo this year. Well, I’m doing much better than last year, and than I did for Writo de Mayo, but still!! I need to do it!!

Out of a 19-question project, I’ve completed THREE for Adrienne. I haven’t even started on Osias. Bleh!!

Here’s what I do have:

  1. What is your character’s name? Does the character have a nickname?
    Adrienne Karahalios
    Adri, Enne

  2. What is your character’s hair color? Eye color?
Dark brown hair with ice blue eyes

  3. What kind of distinguishing facial features does your character have?
    Angelina Jolie lips

See, told you, not much 🙁

Learning New Programs

I just now installed Windows Live Writer. I had it on the tower, and loved it, but never got around to installing it on here, the laptop. Woo hoo!! I’m so glad to have it once again in my possession. 🙂

Taking Advantage

As I’ve said many times, from around May 18th through June 15th, I’ll be in Evansville, IN, visiting my parents, and testing myself. Okay, maybe I never mentioned the testing myself, but that’s a big point of the trip. The test? To see how well or how bad I can make it without Josh. It’s more of a personal test, more than anything. I need to know that I can make it if something happens to Josh and I with our life, or if something happens to Josh.

So, in preparation for that vacation/trip, I’m got Jack Johnson - iTunes Originals - Jack Johnson - iTunes Originals downloading 5 different sets of iPodcasts: Sherrilyn Kenyon, Harry Potter, RA Salvatore, Dungeons and Dragons, and Wizards of the Coast. With those five podcast categories, you can see my total and utter geekiness, but honestly, it works for me. I like my geekiness. On top of those, I also get the WP podcast that comes out weekly.

Since I’m gonna have to be on the computer for a bit while waiting for those to download, I’m working on my Writo de Mayo. It’s similar to NaNo, but in May, and more free with the goals. My goals for May is to write a minimum of 100 words a day, and a minimum of 5000 words for the month. I went a little light since I’ll be out of town for half of May. To make sure I reach that goal, I’m starting in the middle of April. My goal is to reach 5000 before my parents arrive, which should be May 16th. I’ve reached 215 so far.

In site related news, I removed Twitter Tools. Okay, not completely, since I love having Twitter update when I’ve updated my blog, but I’ve removed the option for it to post automatically every day. It was a lazy way of getting out of posting every day here. Honestly, I’ve got enough laziness in my life. I don’t want to do it here as well.

Attempting to write

No, I don’t mean on this, or any other writing, just attempting to come up with an idea of what to use Random Amusements for. I have absolutely no idea. *grumble*

Please, if you have any suggestions, and you think it’ll fit me, holler and let me know. I’d really and truly appreciate it!!
Josh’s suggestion is turning it into a parenting-type blog. If possible, I might want to do it as a “guest blogger” type deal, so more ideas can be used. Sound like a decent idea?

Music as an inspiration

I just got a new computer on Sunday, and I’m slowly starting to add music that inspires me to write.

I haven’t gotten much done, but at the moment, its definitely inspiring me to write. It’s not really actual writing, it’s a bunch of blog posts, but those add up and can inspire even more ideas. The goal is to write, even if the writing isn’t cohesive and easy to follow.

Now to get to work on actually writing or doing something.
