Starting December Off Right

Vivoactive 3 with a custom face

I jokingly told my mom that if she wanted to give me a present for my birthday, I would “accept” a Garmin Forerunner 45S. She took me seriously and asked when I wanted the check, then or for my birthday.

Friends told me NO and that I can wait until my birthday. I argued with them. Mom even said she’d rather do it earlier. So, I got the check a couple weeks ago, and I ordered my watch on Thanksgiving. I should have waited until Black Friday, because it dropped in price.

But instead of getting the Forerunner, I got myself the Vivoactive 3, no music (I have my phone with me all the time, so I don’t need that. Plus, I get bored with music too easily. It would be a wasted aspect).

I’m already a huge fan of Garmin, as this will officially be my 3rd device, and I’m ready to try out MORE of the stats and fun stuff!

So … I need to write!

I had plans to work on some NaNo prep this week. It’s now Thursday and wanna know how much I have done?

If you guessed nothing, you’d be 100% correct! UGH!

I guess it might be time for me to take my Surface to work with me on a daily basis. I can hide in a corner or the conference room on breaks if I need to 😀 I already have permission for that (so I can have a quiet space when I feel a panic attack coming on).

Things from Spotify

First, let me say that I missed yesterday’s vlog and I’m going to miss today’s. I’m sick and no one, including myself, wants to see that. One day, though, I’ll vlog with the ! We’ll see how that goes!

Now, Spotify has some great stats for how you spend your listening year. Not surprising, my #1 song for 2017 is the same as the #1 song for 2016: by Flo Rida

Wow. So, it looks like I listen to a LOT of artists, right? And a variety of songs 🙂

Taking Advantage

As I’ve said many times, from around May 18th through June 15th, I’ll be in Evansville, IN, visiting my parents, and testing myself. Okay, maybe I never mentioned the testing myself, but that’s a big point of the trip. The test? To see how well or how bad I can make it without Josh. It’s more of a personal test, more than anything. I need to know that I can make it if something happens to Josh and I with our life, or if something happens to Josh.

So, in preparation for that vacation/trip, I’m got Jack Johnson - iTunes Originals - Jack Johnson - iTunes Originals downloading 5 different sets of iPodcasts: Sherrilyn Kenyon, Harry Potter, RA Salvatore, Dungeons and Dragons, and Wizards of the Coast. With those five podcast categories, you can see my total and utter geekiness, but honestly, it works for me. I like my geekiness. On top of those, I also get the WP podcast that comes out weekly.

Since I’m gonna have to be on the computer for a bit while waiting for those to download, I’m working on my Writo de Mayo. It’s similar to NaNo, but in May, and more free with the goals. My goals for May is to write a minimum of 100 words a day, and a minimum of 5000 words for the month. I went a little light since I’ll be out of town for half of May. To make sure I reach that goal, I’m starting in the middle of April. My goal is to reach 5000 before my parents arrive, which should be May 16th. I’ve reached 215 so far.

In site related news, I removed Twitter Tools. Okay, not completely, since I love having Twitter update when I’ve updated my blog, but I’ve removed the option for it to post automatically every day. It was a lazy way of getting out of posting every day here. Honestly, I’ve got enough laziness in my life. I don’t want to do it here as well.
