I’m so proud of Madison! She wrote the speech all by herself. She was chosen out of a good size group of kids! She did wonderful! The DARE program is such a good thing. Now, they also focus on bullying and dealing with peer pressure, and not just on how bad drugs and drinking are for you (until you’re of legal age for the drinking, of course).
I asked my daughter to take pictures of the clouds as we were driving home tonight. I think she did pretty good! 😀
All day, she’s been holed up in her room, writing.
This kid… she’s so creative. I’m loving it.
It’s after 11pm here, and I’m just now blogging. Oh well. I have a valid excuse: family time, Girl Scouts, and Madison becoming a JUNIOR!!
Madison, I can’t believe that I watched you grow so much. This year has been full of big changes in your life, and you did it with grace and beauty.
You take that first step, towards maturity. Some worry for you. Some can’t watch.
But you took that step, with grace, with beauty, with pride.
We love you, Baby Girl, and we are so proud of you. SO proud.
Now excuse your momma as she goes and finds a corner to cry.
