Slow Going

Seriously slow going. The word count is not going up … at all. This year, NaNoWriMo is definitely kicking my butt. And it really sucks. It sucks really hard!

I’m hoping that using the stickers will encourage me to actually write now. SO far, they seem to be laughing at me and my lack of words. Really and truly just laughing at me!

The stickers came from MiscellanyBoulevard on Etsy and they are just too cute. The shopping cart, dinner, and dollar sign ones are by Libbie & Co.

Get Your Chores On!

I need to work on a schedule for doing the chores through-out the apartment. I don’t want to be doing the chores all at once, but more on a daily schedule.

Some chores, of course, will be done daily (like the dishes) but the big full-on clean stuff should only have to happen once a week.

Laundry (though that’ll probably be 2 or 3 times a weeks), floor mopping/vacuuming, cleaning the bathrooms, things like that.

So, I got creative with this month’s Hybrid Challenge, at Gingerscraps, hosted by Pixels by Jen, and made a chore book!

To Print or Not to Print

That truly isn’t the question. Printing is definitely that needs to be done. Lately, it’s more about “New printer or deal with old printer?”

We currently have an HP printer, but it’s not the best. The scanner doesn’t work, like ever. Well, okay, it works with the tower, but it doesn’t work with WiFi. I prefer working with my laptop, so that’s a major fail.

I’ve been looking at a Canon. I have Canon cameras, so I figure “Hey, it’s a good idea.”

We’ll see which route we take. Eventually, ๐Ÿ˜†

Ink Me Baby

On Brownie Scraps, we were discussing Christmas lists. One of them included printer suggestions Open-mouthed smile. I don’t mean a receipt printer or anything, but actual printers. I pimped out my HP D110a that I got for $50 last year. I love this freaking printer. But, the best suggestion, in my opinion, that I could have given is to not just base the choice on what options the printer has, and how cheap it is. Look at the costs of the ink replacements. Mine are about $14-30, depending on which ones Iโ€™m buying. Black is cheap. Iโ€™ve replaced it twice. Maybe three times, max. Color? I go through it like itโ€™s toilet paper. Actually, I think I go through ink faster. Why? Because I love to print hybrid projects. I also take a lot of pictures, and I like to print those out as well.

So, if youโ€™re on the hunt for a new printer, make sure you check out the costs of the ink as well!

Oh Fun

Cute Siblings

Just noticed, printing off a coupon, that the printer needs more ink. FUN! At least Iโ€™m not using phaser 8560 type ink. I love HP’s easy install of inks.

I have pictures I have to print, ๐Ÿ˜› Aunt is probably wanting some. I know my parents would like some, though they have the ability to print, as long as Mom is logged into Flickr, of course ๐Ÿ˜‰
