Weekly Plans – July 21 – July 27

The Goal: Each week, you figure out what you need to do for the following week. No real point, but it’s a great way of keeping track of plans and things.

Monday, July 21

  • Time to get on that kitchen cleaning. I hate doing dishes. Have I ever said that?
  • I also need to work on tags for Sigs ‘n More members. Been kind of *bleh* about doing them lately it seems πŸ™

Tuesday, July 22

  • My most hated chore of all, LAUNDRY.
  • I also need to work on things for my other sites πŸ™‚

Wednesday, July 23

  • I like to clean toilets (yeah I’m weird) but I hate cleaning the rest of the bathroom. Why must I do it all?

  • Can I has just a lazy please?

Thursday, July 24

  • Hmm, paycheck goes through tonight *w00t*
  • Time to clean the living areas. That means my mess in the living room and the kids’ messes in the dining room. Fun, right?
  • Maybe someone will order something from Sigs ‘n More

Friday, July 25

  • We’s in teh moniez!! We’s in teh moniez!! *clears throat* Sorry, Josh’s paycheck is in, and he’s OFF, so that means the completion of Madison’s school supplies, and maybe, I don’t know, some groceries? *lol*
  • Maybe I can convince Mr. Man to help me clean our room? At least getting the clothes that need to be donated, taken to Kristen’s, sent to Amber OFF the floor?

Saturday, July 26

  • No big things planned for this day. Temps are supposed to be “cool” (upper 80s), so I might take the kids to play at either the elementary school Madi’ll be going to, or the park here πŸ™‚ Depends, I guess

Sunday, July 27

  • No idea if Josh’ll be working. As far as I know, they didn’t schedule anyone last week for Sunday expresses at all o.O Oh well.

Thursday Thirteen – Tax Return

Thirteen Things We’re Doing With Tax Return

  • Buy a laptop
That’s one of the first purchases we’ll be making
  • Buy a desktop
    Another purchase we’ll be making
  • Pay on debts
While the return doesn’t cover everything, it’s always a good idea πŸ™‚
  • Buy bedding
Madi’s going from toddler to twin bed, so we’ve gotta make a few purchases for that πŸ™‚
  • Mattresses
Or at least one for Madi and Ethan (he needs a new toddler/crib one)
  • Money into savings
Just to make sure we have it if we need it. We’re actually doing pretty well and able to put some back each paycheck already πŸ™‚
  • Stand Mixer
Our current mixer SMOKES when we use it
  • Glasses and Contacts
For moi, of course. Josh has agreed to at least the contacts. My glasses are fine, but contacts will help them last a little longer πŸ™‚ That, and keep me more comfortable for other aspects of life, where glasses aren’t always feasible
  • More train sets for Ethan
Ethan loves the GeoTracks and we love spoiling him with them
  • Disney movies that come out of the vault, or are re-released
We’re buying them for us, and for the kids πŸ™‚
  • Some cookbooks
I’m tired of the patheticness that is LJ when it comes to asking for a recipe. So sue me if I didn’t know how to make lasagna, FFS, or mentioning that several recipes had freaking Bisquick in it.
  • TrailBlazer accessories
Mostly things like extra floormats, and covers for the steering wheel, a couple of litter bags (double awesomely as puke bags, JIC)
  • The Sims 2: Teen Style stuff pack
That won’t be purchased until after we buy the new desktop (this one won’t even play it,), but I’m dying for it, πŸ˜‰

Ranting on the economy

The check for the truck, but now we’re finding out that $20 more than we were expecting is going to be coming out of the paycheck each month. Rents increasing to close to $800 a month starting in May, and there’s a huge chance Josh’s hours are going to severely get cut.

FUCK! I really don’t want to go back to work. Honestly, we can’t really afford for it to happen. I can’t seem to find any legitimate online jobs, that don’t require a landline, which is another bill we can’t really afford. That, and some of those require the PC to be in a separate room. Not exactly feasible in a 3-bedroom apartment, you know.

Now, I have no clue what we’re going to do! We need the vehicle. But we need power and gas and all that as well. I keep telling Josh to call the freaking power and gas companies about getting set on same amount payments each month, but he keeps going “I dont’ have time” yet he plays on the damn Playstation every time he’s home. No time? Get off the damn game that you don’t play, but just create players.

We’re not expecting a huge tax return, and shit, the money we are expecting, we already have plans for it. Madi’s gonna need a mattress, since we already have her bed. Ethan’s going to get her old one (because the crib version is just too big for his room), but he needs a new mattress. We need a new computer. There’s no getting around it. The CD/DVD drives no longer read burned, or non-burned CDs/DVDs, so we can’t play games, plus its doing a high-pitched scream every few days. It’s on it’s last leg, literally!

Josh isn’t due for another raise until November, and that’ll bump him to $21 an hour, but this is ridiculous. How can we not survive with him making $19 an hour?
