Hard to Fall ~ Marquita Valentine ~ Release Blitz

I touch her face and she leans into me, rubbing against my hand as her lashes fall to her cheeks. “Say yes.”

Her eyes open. “Yes.”

House Talks Again

DSC01257 (Photo credit: TM2TS)

The apartment below us has 5 adults, minimum, and 2 kids living in it. It’s a three-bedroom apartment. You can imagine how many vehicles they’re using (meaning parking spots). Here’s a hint. Each adult has their own, PLUS they have a spare, and they all park in front of the building, that barely has enough room for 1.5 adults per apartment (8 apartments, and only about 13 spots in front of the apartment, including 2 for only a specific apartment, and one for handicapped). Below us is SO bad that they’re like “I don’t care, I’m going to park in the handicapped spot”. They use their PARENTS’ handicapped parking window thing. Yeah. They’re freaking awesome.

So, while we’re not looking to find outer banks foreclosures (too far away), we’d really like to get the heck out of dodge, and yesterday!

I Want to Take a Vacation

Randomly I look at Outer Banks homes, because of the area is gorgeous.

I love the beach. I’d love to be able, heck, just go for a week. Nope, not going to happen any time soon.

I think I’d like a vacation, right now, to anywhere! Bleh! Just tired of it all. I need a break from the hum drum of every day life.

I Want to Go

When Josh and I were first starting to plan our wedding, we both had a very strong desire to have it on the beach. We found a lighthouse on the Outer Banks: Cape Hatteras Lighthouse in North Carolina. Kathy’s favorite lighthouse was the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse.

Now, I’m seeing all kinds of great deals for Outer Banks rentals, and now the idea is coming up again. I’m hoping it’s still around when we go to officially tie the knot because that would be a dream come true!

When the rich wage war, it’s the poor that die

Title for post snagged from Hands Held High by Linkin Park, a song that really speaks for the times of today. Even the non-explicit version is something worth listening to.

Yesterday, North Carolina and Indiana did their big votes for the Democratic nominations. North Carolina was handed to Obama before even 15% of the votes had been calculated. He won by a huge margin in terms of amounts of votes, but not huge in terms of a percentage. He won by over 200,000 votes, but only by 6% overall. Indiana, he only lost by 2%, by 18,000 votes. So much for her claim for a total blow-out in Indiana.

The part that makes me most excited? Evansville/Vanderburgh Co., my home town, went solidly for Obama, which came as a surprise. It wasn’t much of a surprise for me, since after talking to my sister, and reading some of my Twitter’d friends there, Obama had more of a following than Hillary ever could.

Yes, I’m an Obama Mama, and yes I’m proud of it.
