As I sit here, watching Monster University, I’m smiling. Today was a good day.
Today, we finally got me a Bluetooth keyboard. It was needed for NaNoWriMo writing on the go. I can use it while we’re in the car, when I’m at work (on breaks, of course) . It’s going to make my life just a little easier. I’m actually writing with it right now!
Today, I finished my last shift before my vacation. I’m proud of myself for working as much as I have. I need the break though. I’m having some major shoulder pain from the repetitive motions. I’m still planning on going to the gym and all that jazz, including strength exercises for the shoulder, but that’s all I’ll be doing with it.
Josh is going to be on vacation too! I’m sure we’ll end up wanting to kill each other by the end of the week, but that’s one of the reasons I’m thankful we have the gym for me to go to (or Josh, 😉 ) . It gives us a small break from each other!
As I sat down to write this THIS MORNING, I was hit with a wave of exhaustion, and my husband also decided (we both did) that we needed to go vote. So, I came home, even more exhausted. I fell asleep until 4pm. That’s when my kids got home from school. That’s also when we had to start dinner because we had a Boy Scout meeting tonight and we had to be there earlier. So, I’m just now getting a chance to sit down and write this at 9pm. So yay?
I really do hate Mondays. I don’t want to wake up. But, as I had to show last year, one clock is 30 minutes faster. At least this year I have a nice looker phone to wake up with

This week is “Week in the Life” week, hosted by Ali Edwards. I love this week. Josh is on vacation. I have my NaNoWriMo Kick-off event today. Wednesday, the kids have their Halloween Parade at school. Thursday is their parent-teacher conferences. Friday is Halloween. Saturday is a birthday party and the start of NaNoWriMo. Busy but awesome week! The perfect week for Week in the Life!
I love this song. I found this video last year, and I had to subscribe to her. She’s wonderful. 😀 I love her NaNoWriMo vlogs. They are a great inspiration, even if it’s just to know I’m not the only one stuck in the same boat!
She’s also calling out people who commented that they’d do it this year:
She’s a wonderful vlogger, and really inspirational, so I hope you at LEAST check out her videos. She definitely shows that being a geek/nerd is not a bad thing and that hot girls can be one, without being the stereotype 😉
Are you doing NaNoWriMo? Let’s be friends!
I should be writing, or prepping for writing but I haven’t been and that’s okay.
I don’t know what’s up, though.
I just don’t feel ready for NaNoWriMo this year :/
