I’m stealing this from Tense, and I’ve done it a few times, but not since I got the laptop and got mostly new music with iTunes. My readers know that I absolutely LOVE music, so I’ll play it for any reason I’m given 😉
The hardest part, I would say, is finding non-repeat artists 😉
The rules are as follows: 1. Put your mp3 player or computer music player on random. 2. Post the first four lines from the first 20 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song (Skip repeat artists). 3. Post, and let your friends guess which song and artist the lines come from. 4. No Googling! Don’t cheat! Also, no checking of Last.FM!! That’s cheating too 😉
I just uploaded 8 songs to my new and awesome little toy, and man, the thing still has mostly empty space. Holy crap on a cracker. Now I have to convert some of my iTunes stuff to MP3’s so that I can listen them on my phone 😉
Madi had her 5-year-old well-baby check. She did awesome!! She did get shots, poor mite, but she barely cried, and said “Ow” during it. Then she went “My arm is killing me” with her insanely funny attitude that she gets. Josh and I couldn’t keep from laughing. My little Monkey is 40 inches tall and 31.4 pounds. See why I call her my “little Monkey”? Itsy-bitsy thing that she is. She’s 10% for her height, and below 3% for her weight.
Afterwards, we did her pre-enrollment for kindergarten. August 5th is the official enrollment date, and starts August 13th. We’re still trying to figure out if she’ll be full-day or half-day kindergarten. Only hints are the shopping list requesting “braided rug” and assorted amounts of snacks. Oh, and 2-reams of paper o.O Yeah, that one was a bit weird to me.
There are so many different people that today’s gift would be perfect for. Today’s gift idea is a digital camera.
I absolutely adore my camera. I just wish that I had one that was indestructible, LOL, considering I’ll be going on my third, if we can ever get another. A digital picture frame is also a good idea. I think something like that would be a good idea for Mark. Then he could have scrolling pictures of the family, show them off, without having to turn on his computer. Considering it’s a dinosaur, that would be for the best, LOL.
I found one that would be really good for my parents, too: Digital Spectrum Solutions 5.6in Photo/MP3/Video Picture Frame. The frame is awesome. We could customize it with a bunch of pictures of the kids, and then add an MP3 of them singing or something (they love to sing). Awesome gift for grandparents, I would think.
And, wow, totally went off the topic of digital cameras, didn’t I?
Okay, my dream camera would be Canon PowerShot A570IS 7.1MP Digital Camera with 4x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom. Josh and I have done our research, and we think that would give us the biggest bang for our buck. We don’t want something super little, nor something really confusing. If we want that, we can just use his digital camcorder, and we’ll be okay. We need something that’s good for taking basic shots of the kids, but also ones for when we go on vacations and get a chance to get some really good shots.
Remember, also, when you’re looking for a new digital camera, take into account accessories you already have for your old one. If you can find one that utilizes the most of those current accessories, you’ll save yourself a lot of money in the long run. It’s the best of both worlds with that.
they just keep coming. Madison is super freaking whiny. Not an hour goes by that she’s not whining about something or other. Nothing makes her happy. She just whines and whines. GAH!! It’s driving me freaking INSANE!! Ethan, on the other hand, is just an amazing little man. Yesterday, we’re trying valiantly to get Madi to start potty training (FFS, she’ll be FOUR in June!!), and Ethan’s pulling us to the bathroom so he can go poop. :w00t: Why, why, WHY can’t Madison figure this out? :fist: She, yesterday, went 3 hours without peeing in her pull-up, so we put her in a pair of panties. For two hours, no pee. We put her in her pull-ups again (for nap), and 20 minutes later, the pull-up is full of pee and poop. Not once did she tell us she had to potty. Not once did she tell us she pottied. We only knew because I thought I heard her crying and went to check on her. :hissyfit:
Some good news though. My CD player for the car died. It was a normal personal CD player (less than $15 for it 4 years ago), so we went looking for a new one for me. I had only one requirement: MP3 capabilities. Found one. Regularly $40, for $24. SWEET It’s a Panasonic SL-SX480 MP3 D.Sound portable CD player. It’s amazing. I absolutely LOVE it!! Only downside is the fact that there’s no AC jack anywhere on it 🙁 Best thing about it is that I can slip it into my jeans pockets, jog, and have no skips. No skips sitting in the cubby of the dash. No skips whatsoever, even when I, :loser:, dropped it,. So, currently, I have a 254 song CD (:faint:) that’s set to random. Well, right now, it’s in the Sony, but  it’s all mine!! It’s hilarious listening to it, though. It goes from contemporary christian, to Aerosmith, to country, to bands like Poison. Eclectic tastes, me? No way!!
Yesterday was not a good day. Cox died around 3PM (I was playing the Sims 2, so I’m not totally sure when it died), and it didn’t come up until 9PM. No, we didn’t call (we can’t stand their freaking voice thing. It just send you in circles). But, there was a truck out today, right before Josh left to get his truck fixed (idler arm, serpentine belt, and wheel barrings). Who knows. What I’m finding weird is that the TV has had NO problems. It’s not even doing it’s fritzing out, but the internet comes in and out at least once a week. It’s becoming RIDICULOUS!!
