How a Lady Weds a Rogue by Katharine Ashe My rating: 4 of 5 stars I love these historical type romances. This one was fast-paced, with a touch of unique. It dealt with alcoholism, but it didn’t rule the story. … Continue reading

A Seaside Christmas by Sherryl Woods My rating: 3 of 5 stars It really was not that good. It was really slow starting and just kept getting slower. It was quite a bit of a disappointment. View all my reviews

31 Days: NaNoWriMo

06: Meeting the Main Character

This is always the hardest part for me. I know I need a male and a female (romance/chick lit, kind of a requirement, since I write hetero).

I don’t know who they’re going to be. I need to work on this.

07: Setting

I was talking about this with my husband. There are so many choices. So many places to choose. I don’t know what I want to do!

Ugh! This is why NaNoWriMo can be a bad thing for me!

Styxx (Dark-Hunter, #23)Styxx by Sherrilyn Kenyon

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I can’t think of a review on this. I truly can’t.
I was expecting more of a romance novel, but honestly, it really wasn’t. It was more heartbreaking than anything else.
I loved the bits with Artemis. “Seeing” Savitar was wonderful, and seeing Apollymi show her compassionate side was wonderful. Finding the explanation for why Ash had as many powers that he did made sense-ish.
A friend pointed out that parts were lifted, completely word for word, from other books of her’s, and I definitely noticed it in areas. I was having deja vu a lot with it.
