Really not thrilled that we’re constantly getting snow, but I do low how pretty the trees look when they’re covered in snow!

Road Trip: Week 02

Kit: Back to Nature by Cathy K Designs

I love taking a walk around outside, with my camera in hand. There’s something so peaceful about listening to the wind rustle in the trees, and to feel the earth soft under your feet. There’s a peace to the moment, and it’s easy to absorb it, especially when you’re experiencing a hard moment. Sometimes, they all feel like hard moments, so you have to take a breath, take a moment, and just enjoy the peace that comes with nature.

Week in Pictures: December 28, 2014 to January 03, 2015

Gearing up for a year of planning, using my Erin Condren. I love it!

January 01: Happy

I have a small little handmade dashboard. Or something like that. I love my Erin Condren planner. Seriously.
Also, if you use this link, you can get $10 off your first order (and I’ve found that you also get sent ANOTHER CODE when you order for another $10 off :O !)

A Little Scary

Just heard that there was a micro-burst tornado not far from here. It wasn’t picked up by radar. Ugh! Scary! People are pissed out because the sirens didn’t go off, but we’ve been under a tornado watch since 7pm. That means they’re possible. That means STAY THE HELL WHERE IT IS SAFE! We live in a very volatile area. Things can pop up out of nowhere. That’s why they say “If you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes.” Seriously. You can go from hot as hell and muggy as sin to “holy crap, where’s my jacket” in five minutes. Been there, done that. There’s a reason The Wizard of Oz is based in Kansas. It’s not just by happenstance!

Okay, small rant over. Now I have pretty pictures to share:
Clouds over NW Topeka
I am amazed by the bokeh effect, personally! I’m really proud of this, though I didn’t really have that much control over it. I had to close my eyes and pray it focused because bright sun was bright Winking smile
