Beautiful Day
Well, I think it was. I took some Benadryl late last night and it screwed up my sleeping. Took it almost 2 hours earlier today, and I’m already out of it (took it a half-hour ago).
Tonight, we went back to Elmont for the second Parent’s Night.
Madi’s teacher is just as awesome as Ethan’s. I’ve gotten really lucky with the kiddo’s teachers!
I also signed up to be the “official photographer” for Madi’s class. So I’m doing both! That means I go on field trips and things like that with the kids. NOW I won’t feel so weird taking pictures of other peoples’ kids,
Enjoying the Weather
So, if the kids weren’t outside, and maybe we had our own place, I’d be reclining on some patio cushions, and soaking up the fresh air.
Instead, I’m inside, sitting on couch cushions, soaking up the fresh air. Oh well, that works as well. I’m just SO loving these temperatures.
I’m also loving that, so far (*knock on wood*), the kids have been good at school. They also haven’t had any homework, which, since I have a second grader, scares me. Its gonna pile on later, I bet.
Is It Tuesday Yet?
I got this picture (and a whole bunch of others) because I had to step outside and just GET AWAY from my kids. Josh was home, so don’t assume I’d abandoned them or anything.
Today they were just AWFUL. They were TOTAL and COMPLETE assholes. Ugh! I’m ready for school to start. So ready for the 17th!
Speaking of dates to look forward to:
- By this time next week, I should have my Kindle!
- By this time next week, kids will be in school!!!
- September 19th, we’re planning to go to RenFest. That weekend, its the PIRATES! PIRATES! *squee* I love pirates. I’ve invited @Cylithria, and need to remember to invite @VelvetVoice. Julie and Mark are already going. They’re the ones who chose the date.
Did I mention that my Kindle was shipped today? *squee* Can you tell I’m excited?

Yesterday, we took the kids to Shawnee North Aquatic Center. We stayed for THREE hours. It was freaking CROWDED, and getting worse by the hour, so we finally got tired of being trampled and headed home.
We had fun though. We all got a little burnt, and that’s with applying sunscreen. I can say that the Neutrogena, though more expensive, definitely worked better than the Banana Boat that I got.
Ethan’s sunburn is already 100% tan. So, he’s officially known as BUTTHOLE today,
for that reason.
Madi’s, like mine, got redder and hotter after the application of aloe, but besides being a little tired, she’s okay. Considering I conked from 5:30 to 7:30, and then from 11pm to 10am, I think it’s okay for her to be tired. I didn’t sleep great though. Hard to sleep when you’ve got sunburn on your back and you’re used to sleeping on your sides
