I have no idea, but I’ve got this feeling that today’s either going to rock and completely suck. No middle ground. That just totally bites, doesn’t it?

We did figure out some good news: rent will technically be coming out of the next paycheck. The next paycheck is going to be a decent size (1 day off each week, plus Sunday extra pay). *sweet* That just works out perfectly. That means we can keep money in the savings account, and have a buffer. That means if the computer decides to completely bite the dust, we’re going to be okay ) I like that. That makes me feel a lot better.

Josh called at about 11:30 this morning. He was just starting his route. Everyone had a lot of mail, and I mean a lot. He started at the same time as most of the regulars, so it’s not because he’s slow. He called while he was filling up the LLV (mail truck). He started at 7:45, and he told them (Jayhawk Station) straight-up that he was going to need assistance. The guy who’ll be helping him out said that he most likely won’t catch him until after 5. They have to be back at the station by six for the mail pick-up. That means he’s definitely getting overtime today (5:15 would be 10 hours, including his 1/2 hour lunch). Holy damn!! If he works past 6, he gets even more money, for working “evening”.

Tomorrow is his day off. Since we’ve got our buffer, if he wants to go out and do something, we can (like buy actual day-to-day tennis shoes). I’m totally cool with that.

Speaking of shoes, I got me some new ones yesterday: Athletic Works 7000 Jogger. They’re light grey and dark purple, with white. GORGEOUS!! And totally me (curved toe, comfy, etc). We got Madi a new pair of sandals. We realized that her shoes were a size too small, so we got her a pair that were on clearance. Brown and strappy and ADORABLE!! We also found her shoes for the wedding. I found a pair I liked, in white, but the smallest size was a size 11. She’s a size 8/9 (depending on the shoe), so that wouldn’t work. Got those for super-cheap! Ethan also got a pair of shoes for the wedding. We got him some adorable penny loafers. They’re the same exact pair I found the day I got his outfit for it, and they still look perfect!! I can’t wait for Julie to see them.

    One Day at a time

    Sunday, September 23rd, 2007

Every day it seems like there’s more drama in life. Someone decides to make a fool of themselves. Thankfully, I’ve learned to just let it run off my back, like water on a duck’s back. It’s ridiculous though how little of a life some people have, so little that they have to harrass people. Pathetic, actually. Oh well, at least I have some semblence of a life, and don’t have to resort to harrassment.

In other news, I’m going to be working on more of my Dirty Dancing icons. Figured out why PSP was saying they’re invalid files (the caps). It’s because PowerDVD saves as BMP. Well, I wanted them to save as JPG or PNG, and it didn’t want to do that, and messed with how the files are saved. Fix the file name, and *boom* works again ) Is there a particular scene you’d like to see iconed?

Today’s plans are tags for today, hopefully some for the shop, maybe a tube set (we’ll see how that goes), and maybe another WP theme. ) We’ll see how that works out. Are you a theme collector? What type or design would you like to see?

Josh is at work right now. He’s got 2 more expresses to deliver and he’s done, I think, XD. He went in at 8:45 am. That means just a couple hours of Sunday pay, but that’s about $23.50 for the hours, so, ha ha, so worth it!! He’s gotta be in at 7:45 tomorrow. He’s got the Jayhawk ghetto route (we did ghetto, this is ghetto). He’s got Tuesday off though. That day will be spent getting him new tennis shoes. His current ones reek of cat markings, though they’ve never been marked o.O Figure that one out.

    Never Work for the Government

    Thursday, September 20th, 2007

    *grumble*
Just talked to Josh. They have him working Sunday, AGAIN! WTF? Seriously. Two Sundays in a freaking ROW! This is nuts and ridiculous. I wonder what days they gave him off, if any. This week, Wednesday was his ONLY day off. That’s just ridiculous!! And that’s the biggest reason I’m not going to my parents like planned. The bachelorette party is being planned for after I would have arrived home, but I’d rather not leave Josh to his own devices, knowing he’s going to be working that much. Good news is that his 90 days ended this week, and he’s on the schedule for next, so obviously he made it. He’s gotta talk to someone named Joyce about joining the union (having his back covered is worth the union fees), and then he’s gotta talk to Becky about putting a hold down on the route he’s doing today and tomorrow. Unless Alan claims it (hasn’t said he wants to), Josh will be guaranteed at least one day off each week, on a rotating schedule. *sweet* Finally!! We can plan things, XD. No more Jayhawk station calling him at 8am. No more main station calling him at 7am. *dances*

I’m planning on entering the “Great Base Race“. We’ll see how well that goes, XD. I’m pathetic at following through on things like that.

Hmm, well, I guess that’s pretty much it! I’ve got to start a load of laundry and fold 2 left-over from yesterday. Holy crap, though, I did at least 7 loads of laundry yesterday. o.O Clothes smell and feel good though. Clean Breeze fabric softener, and Tide with Downy, and Clean Breeze dryer sheets. *squishes and sniffs* Heck, it’s keeping Madi in clothes, ROFL. But, I’ll be nice and leave you with a joke I got from a group:

What Starts With F and Ends With K

A first-grade teacher, Ms. Brooks, was having trouble with one of her students. The teacher asked, “Harry, what’s your problem?”

Harry answered, “I’m too smart for the 1st grade. My sister is in the 3rd grade and I’m smarter than she is! I think I should be in the 3rd grade too!”

Ms. Brooks had had enough. She took Harry to the principal’s office.

While Harry waited in the outer office, the teacher explained to the principal what the situation was. The principal told Ms. Brooks he would give the boy a test. If he failed to answer any of his questions he was to go back to the 1st grade and behave. She agreed.

Harry was brought in and the conditions were explained to him and he agreed to take the test.

    Principal: “What is 3 x 3?”

    Harry: “9.”

    Principal: ” What is 6 x 6?”

    Harry: “36.”

And so it went with every question the principal thought a 3rd grader should know.

The principal looks at Ms. Brooks and tells her, “I think Harry can go to the 3rd grade.”

Ms. Brooks says to the principal, “Let me ask him some questions.”

The principal and Harry both agreed.

Ms. Brooks asks, “What does a cow have four of that I have only two of?”

    Harry, after a moment: “Legs.”

Ms. Brooks: “What is in your pants that you have but I do not have?”

The principal wondered why would she ask such a question!

    Harry replied: “Pockets.”

Ms. Brooks: “What does a dog do that a man steps in to?”

    Harry: “Pants.”

Ms. Brooks: What starts with a C, ends with a T, is hairy, oval, delicious and contains thin, whitish liquid?”

    Harry: “Coconut.”

The principal sat forward with his mouth hanging open.

Ms. Brooks: “What goes in hard and pink then comes out soft and sticky?”

The principal’s eyes opened really wide and before he could stop the answer, Harry replied, “Bubble gum.”

Ms. Brooks: “What does a man do standing up, a woman does sitting down and a dog does on three legs?”

    Harry: “Shake hands.”

    The principal was trembling.

Ms. Brooks: “What word starts with an ‘F’ and ends in ‘K’ that means a lot of heat and excitement?”

    Harry: “Firetruck.”

The principal breathed a sigh of relief and told the teacher, “Put Harry in the fifth-grade, I got the last seven questions wrong……

    F-Off!

    Wednesday, September 12th, 2007

Okay, it’s Wednesday, not Thursday, but I don’t care. :impatient:

Josh worked the Jayhawk station yesterday. Well, his main station changed the schedule, and the Jayhawk station didn’t update it. So, Josh goes in to work, only to find out he’s off. So, he heads home. Halfway home, he has to turn around because the damn Jayhawk station called him in. WTF? So, he’s going to be in a pissy mood when he gets home.

I was in a pissy mood until I got an e-mail from BnN. ) Sherrilyn Kenyon has a new book coming out, and I put in a pre-order: Upon the Midnight Clear. I also ordered a box set, of the first 3 Dark-Hunter books: The Dark-Hunter Novels. Upon a Midnight Clear ships Oct. 30, and the other two ship as soon as payment is accepted ) *sweet* :reading:

Josh got me a little present yesterday: Billy Ray Cyrus’s new CD. On our last shopping excursion, I got Rodney Atkins first CD. Now, all I really need to get is Taylor Swift’s CD, and I’ll have the ones that I really want to have, XD. Okay, that and Linkin Park’s most recent, lol . I forgot about that.

    It looks weird

    Thursday, September 6th, 2007

I heard that Apple decided to release Safari, for free, to Windows users, so I decided I’d try it out. It’s still in BETA, but I gotta say that I like it. I can’t do different skins like I can on Firefox, but I’m liking the layout of it all. I’m checking out plugins for it now, so maybe I will be able to, XD.

Hmm. Other than that (god, I say that a lot, don’t I), nothing much is going on. Josh got called in at 8 this morning. Freaking Jayhawk station. His actual station, if they need him, will call early in the morning, unless it’s an emergency situation, but never later than 9. The Jayhawk station? They’re known to call after 10, because they “have a situation. *grumble* That station needs to hire another freaking PTF, and stop stealing Josh. It’d be nice if we could make plans to do something, even as simple as some grocery shopping. :impatient:
