Quick Update

Things are going okay here. Kids don’t have school for the rest of the school year. At least not in-school school. The district is working on the online aspect. This is good, because if they can figure this out now, they’ll be able to figure it out later when it comes to snow days. Then they won’t have to add extra days anymore. Maybe?

Date Night

I’m going to go totally TMI with this, but Josh and I had a date night for the first time in forever. Well, I had some seafood (lobster tails) and man, oh man, the gas coming out me smells AWFUL! P-U!

Also, I felt pretty yesterday! I don’t feel so hot today! Minus the atrocious smell emanating from my back-end, I’m also working on a sinus infection. Thankfully, I had ONE Claritin D on hand, so I was able to get that in me. Slept for an hour, which was nice. Kids are spending the night at my FIL’s tonight and going to the Kansas City Zoo tomorrow! Lucky kiddos! Me? I’m going to probably take a nice long soak in the tub, using some of my cold and allergy bath salts!

Just a picture of Madison

Weekly Winners: Jan 6-12, 2013

All shots taken with a Canon Rebel XS, Sony Cybershot DSCW120, or the HTC Inspire 4G Android Phone. More can be found on my Flickr account. Project 365 pictures can be found in this set.

The flu. Guess what that means. It’s hitting the family.

We didn’t get vaccinated this year. I’m hearing from a lot of moms that they didn’t this year, including ones who are nurses and things like that. So, I don’t feel so bad. It’s not doing a bad round here. The biggest issue we’re having is fevers. Madi’s spiking a mild one [102 has been her highest]. Ethan’s decided he likes the fevers, so he’s keeping them. But, he’s been sick off and on since the start of fall, so I’m not surprised.

Ugh, though. It sucks!

I have an obsession with apps on my phone but also with Kendall the Kindle. I love reading. Reminds me I need to update Goodreads!

Five Day Weekend

Madison woke up with a wicked sore throat. She has a slight temp too (100.1 is the highest we’ve seen, though she feels warmer).
Poor thing just can’t catch a break.
