FOCUS : Word of the Year 2018

The time of year is upon me when I need to choose my “word of the year“. I’ve been doing it for a few years, and the one year it worked well for me was when I chose “happy”. I almost went with it again for 2018, but instead I chose “FOCUS“.

definition of focus

I’m excited for this year!

My main direction for “FOCUS” will be the second definition. directed attention. I think it’s going to be a good year. I’m ready for something big and new to happen. I know that I am going to have to make it happen, but I am ready to FOCUS on me, on life, on all the things!

Goals for 2018:

Health/Fitness:

  • Focus and finish a fitness program
  • Drink me some Shakeology
  • Get back to the Gym

Family/Friends:

  • Make memories
  • Share love
  • Be present

Writing:

  • Write the novel I originally started planning for November
  • Win NaNoWriMo 2018

Have you chosen a word? How are you going to use it to help you set your goals for 2018?

So .. I Walked

Untitled

I swear, at some point, these blog posts will not revolve around how many steps I get. Maybe if I hit the 500k I’m hoping to hit for July, it will be the end.

We shall see.

For now, I’m just hoping that the truck, which is back in the shop because of transmission … again, is something covered by warranty?

I’m hoping that my hours aren’t going to be cut as badly as I think that they might be.

Now I’m going back to writing the blog for Gingerscraps.

This Coming Week

This week I’m keeping the goals small and achievable.

  • 4 days of the gym, and one can be cancelled.
  • I have one book review I need to write, so I need to re-read the book and take some notes. I went through it SO FAST the first time,
  • I’m just going to ENJOY the week. I’m pretty much not going to have to work floors (jinxing myself now, ), so it should be nice.

Wish me luck I get shit done!!

Dry Skin

Instead of looking for the best eye cream for wrinkles, I’m looking for the best moisturizer to use for that same area. My eyes are getting really dry lately. Not the eyeballs, but the actual skin around my eyes, like the under-eye area, and the lids. Ouch! Not comfortable for someone who blinks a lot,.

Otherwise, the SkinID stuff is working great. Still not on top of doing it every day. I’ll remember to wash, but I’ll forget the lotion. OOOPS!! That could be why my skin is getting so dry!
