I got New Shoes

Untitled

I needed to replace my shoes, desperately. So, we went to the mall first. All they had were pastel shoes. I can’t wear pastel at work. So, off to Academy Sports we went, where I KNEW the shoes were at.

Well, I tried them on (after spending a couple minutes finding the LAST pair in a 7.5 ). Ugh. It hurt the top of my foot. I panicked. That’s the only way to describe it. I panicked! I didn’t know what to do.

So, I checked out a pair of black Nikes. I didn’t want them. They also caused pain in the same spot.

Josh then pointed out that the shoes weren’t laced the way I lace my shoes. I have to lace mine differently because of my high arches.

So, I tried the original ASICS on my other foot. No pain. No nothing.

WOO HOO! NEW SHOES!

After I put the shoe back on the foot that hurt, after adjusting my sock (I wore a thicker pair to make sure I got the right fit, and they have extra padding in the arch as well, ). I’m walking around, jumping. Everything.

I was so excited! I had found my shoes! They were exactly the ones I had gone in to buy, and I even grabbed some socks. I’m such a dork. The colors of a couple pairs matched my shoes and I was sold .

I’m so excited that I’m starting 2017 with a new pair of ASICS; this time they’re a pair of Gel Excite 4. They’re so perty!

Goals for 2016: Quantifiable and Trackable

I wrote these at work during slow times, and honestly, I am quite proud of them. I think they are exactly what I need to follow, AND I can easily split them up by month and then by week, and even by day. It’s hard to give up on a goal when it’s something small every day that I need to do!

So, here are my goals!

December is Going to Be Insane!

I’m so going to hate myself, but I’m going to attempt to keep myself physically busy, as well as mental!

  • December Daily (using the Project: Life app)
  • Daily vlogging (Dec 01 – 25)
  • Daily blogging (oh my goodness, I used to be SO GOOD at that)
  • Daily photo challenges (FMS Photo a Day, CY365)
  • Daily planner challenges [yes, I’m obsessed with my planners :P] (RockYourHandwriting, PlanWithMeChallenge)
  • I also want to do the challenges for December (I’ve seen the CR since I write the newsletters and OH MY GOODNESS! It’s ADORABLE)
  • I’m not stressing on catching up with PL 2016, but I do want to get ready for 2017. Going back to one page per week,
  • I’m also doing a fitness challenge I set for myself:
    8weekchallenge

I should add that I am also WORKING over my normal 20 hours a week because one co-worker has hand, foot, mouth and another is using FMLA for mental issues.
Anyone making big plans for December?

NaNoWriMo Is Almost Here!

After gaining back the weight that I’d lost, it’s time to get “back on the wagon” and get my health back on track. I can feel it emotionally as well as physically weighing on me!

Using a Create 365 Fitness Planner. Starting in January, I’ll be using a Recollections Fitness Planner. I’ll do a walk-through of it when it arrives!

The Best Day

As I sit here,  watching Monster University, I’m smiling.  Today was a good day.

Today,  we finally got me a Bluetooth keyboard. It was needed for NaNoWriMo writing on the go. I can use it while we’re in the car, when I’m at work (on breaks,  of course) . It’s going to make my life just a little easier.  I’m actually writing with it right now!

Today,  I finished my last shift before my vacation.  I’m proud of myself for working as much as I have. I need the break though. I’m having some major shoulder pain from the repetitive motions. I’m still planning on going to the gym and all that jazz,  including strength exercises for the shoulder,  but that’s all I’ll be doing with it.

Josh is going to be on vacation too! I’m sure we’ll end up wanting to kill each other by the end of the week,  but that’s one of the reasons I’m thankful we have the gym for me to go to (or Josh, 😉 ) . It gives us a small break from each other!
