For today’s prompt, write about your past in relationship to creative expression. What are your earliest memories of being creative? Describe some great opportunities or missed opportunities for creative expression? What do you think helped or hindered you from being creative? Do you have creative people in your family? How have they inspired you? These are general questions. Write about the topic and see where it leads you. Happy journaling.
Instead I’m just going to show what I’ve been doing for prep with NaNoWriMo
The flu. Guess what that means. It’s hitting the family.
We didn’t get vaccinated this year. I’m hearing from a lot of moms that they didn’t this year, including ones who are nurses and things like that. So, I don’t feel so bad. It’s not doing a bad round here. The biggest issue we’re having is fevers. Madi’s spiking a mild one [102 has been her highest]. Ethan’s decided he likes the fevers, so he’s keeping them. But, he’s been sick off and on since the start of fall, so I’m not surprised.
Madi got sent home sick yesterday. At 9:30. Well, okay, she got picked up at 10am, but STILL! So, she was FINE the rest of the day. Absolutely NO issues. She missed the 24-hour cut-off by THIRTY MINUTES if you go by when we got the call. So, yeah, wow. Half-an-hour! I kept Ethan home. He puked at like 8:30pm. Hasn’t since (*knock on wood*), but I still kept him home. The nurse, though, called, saying “I’m surprised to see Madi at school.” For half-an-hour 24-hour-period missing. REALLY?
Ugh! I want to destroy something! I almost wish I had something that required band saw blades, so I could do something destructive.
I’m the most anal parent with keeping my kids home. Over 99F temp for longer than an hour? You’re staying home. You puke? You’re staying home. Yesterday, JOSH put her on the bus. I wanted no part of it. I knew we were going to get the call that she was sick. I KNEW! But she was adamant about going. The same this morning. She was FINE. She was smiling, bubbly, MADI! Honestly, if I hadn’t taken her to the bus? She would have snuck off while I was in the bathroom or something. Seriously. She was ready to go. She wanted to go that badly. I gave her many chances. I even asked at the bus stop if she wanted to stay home.
Nope, she was ready to go, and was NOT going to stay home again, . Yesterday was tolerable, Daddy was home. Today? Nope, not with Ethan sick too. Speaking of which, he is such a joy, seriously, to have home when sick. He aims for the bucket/toilet. He’s like “I gotta puke” and then does it. Madi? LAZY puker, .
So, I’m just annoyed that I did what I was supposed to and still got hassled
We walk by a store in the mall that sells "urban clothes", and I just can’t help but laugh at them. I would laugh to myself if I saw someone wearing the clothes too. They’re just so ridiculous looking!!
I’m not knocking those that wear them. Nope, not what I’m doing. It’s more of just the outfits and clothes remind me too much of Snookie, which reminds me of a sausage exploding out of it skins. *shudder* Not a sight I want to see!
