Goals for November

I have goals! Yes I do!

I’m starting with small goals. The smaller goals mean they’re easier to achieve!

Goal #1: Start Shift Shop

I start on November 04 (Monday). My goal is to completely finish it!

Goal #2: Write 50k Words

I’m doing NaNoWriMo. I need to write those words!

Goal #3: Share My Workouts

I went to a singular instagram account so that I could do this more efficiently.

Goal 4: Read at least 5 Books

I only put it that low simply because I should be focusing on writing and NOT my reading.

Goal 5: Get SLEEP!

Yeah, I haven’t been sleeping well. AT ALL!

Making Goals

Hey look! Someone’s making goals. Let’s see how she keeps those 😉

First: Blog Daily
I miss blogging. I want to get back into it. So, that’s what I’m going to do! I might not be perfect, but I’m going to try!

Second: Use my Instagrams!
I have 2! I want to use at least each account at least once a day. It might be photos. It might be stories. Today, I shared someone’s blaring stereo as I was walking into work!
Main IG: TM2TS
Health-focused IG: TM2TS.fit

Third: Working out
I’m not putting a huge emphasis on it, but I need to get back into it. I did a workout Monday and I’m still super sore from that. Ugh! Saturday, we’re going to the pool, and my butt is just going to soak in the water, read and all that.
Oh, and slather myself in sunscreen every five minutes, of course!

Do you have any goals for June?

FOCUS : Word of the Year 2018

The time of year is upon me when I need to choose my “word of the year“. I’ve been doing it for a few years, and the one year it worked well for me was when I chose “happy”. I almost went with it again for 2018, but instead I chose “FOCUS“.

definition of focus

I’m excited for this year!

My main direction for “FOCUS” will be the second definition. directed attention. I think it’s going to be a good year. I’m ready for something big and new to happen. I know that I am going to have to make it happen, but I am ready to FOCUS on me, on life, on all the things!

Goals for 2018:

Health/Fitness:

  • Focus and finish a fitness program
  • Drink me some Shakeology
  • Get back to the Gym

Family/Friends:

  • Make memories
  • Share love
  • Be present

Writing:

  • Write the novel I originally started planning for November
  • Win NaNoWriMo 2018

Have you chosen a word? How are you going to use it to help you set your goals for 2018?

Being Honest With Myself

Diet and workouts haven’t been the greatest, but since I got my Shakeology in the mail, I’ve had one every. single. day.

  • My IBS hasn’t had a flair-up, and I’ve put it to the test by drinking milk (it was skim, so that does make a difference).
  • Even when I’m doing butt o’clock early shifts, with little to no sleep, I have time to have a shake. If I have more time, I make it more special (currently addicted to Snickerdoodle ), but I’m fine with just unsweetened vanilla and a scoop.
  • I get hungry at a decent time when it comes to lunch. With other ones (like Carnation Instant Breakfast, even the extra protein ones), I was hungry, shaking hungry, within 2 hours. Sometimes I’m not even hungry 4 hours later, when I’m usually going on lunch. I have to force myself to eat
  • I find myself looking FORWARD to the shake!

This week, the focus will be getting small changes in my diet. I’m a calorie tracker. For me, I have to. I can’t wrap my head around the container system, but I need to at least figure out meals and things. Thank GOD for Ashley’s accountability group starting tomorrow

The 14th, I’m back on the PiYo train. I’ve found myself MISSING the workouts, but 4-5 hours of sleep lately means I’m coming home and just passing out. I just can’t do it. Though yesterday, I logged, according to my FitBit, like 97 minutes of vigorous exercise, cleaning. My shoulders are KILLING me today. But I’m not logging that as a workout. I’m being honest with myself.

Which that is a big mindset change, as well. Being honest with myself. I’ve needed to do that for a long time.

So, honestly, that was a long ass post, and I’m going to shut up now. Back to the sweaty selfies tomorrow
