- Openness. It’s not really a skill, but it’s to make my life so much easier.
- Photography. I need to learn how to get the perfect picture without it set on “auto”
- Patience. I’m always low on that.
- Time management. Sometimes I start too early, and sometimes I start too late. I need to work on that!
- There are more, but we’ll see them as the year goes on.

School starts August 15th this years from the 2013-14 school year. We’re going for a more “mature” theme for the kids. Well, at least something that doesn’t scream “I’m a little kid.” Madison is going into 5th Grade, and Ethan’s going into 3rd, so it fits. We let them choose most of their supplies, the ones that can be customized. Madison is going for a pink and purple theme. Ethan’s is more neutral, but VERY boy, 😆
They have great taste, I think. Madison originally wanted a $35 backpack. At this point in time, she doesn’t need that. Maybe middle school, when she’ll be bringing home mountains of homework. High school, she’s probably going to end up with an almost hiking-style backpack. Poor kid!
Ethan was super excited to find a camouflage one. I like that it was pixelized grays, and not the traditional brown or green version of camo. Just looks better to me.
This was Madi on her first day of 4th Grade. She looked so young and innocent, and a whole lot tan!
I’m not that smart. I don’t understand what eon code means. I’m ballsy enough to admit that. I’m cool with admitting that.
I’m smart enough to know that I don’t want to live any closer to the drama llamas that is my family. Like all of it.
Someone’s always having some sort of crisis, and damn it, I’ve had enough of it. They’re all old enough. They should know better.
Also, y’all went to freaking school. I know the graduation requirements. You were taught how to spell, which versions of homophones and homonyms that you’re supposed to use. Hell, I’m pretty sure you learned about capitalization in elementary school. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!! USE IT!!
