18 years ago, I was in college.

18 years ago, I was “single”

18 years ago, I lived in Florida.

18 years ago, the only thing we had to worry about was what stupid thing would Dubya say.

18 years ago, I was just a kid, thinking I was an adult.

I remember 18 years ago, like it was yesterday. The fear. The tears. What was happening. All of it.

Since that day, I reconnected with my family.

I’ve had two children.

I’m getting ready to celebrate the 18 year anniversary of my relationship with my husband.

I won’t forget what happened 18 years ago. I still can’t hear Enya’s “Only Time” without chills. Even with that stupid commercial.

18 years, so much has changed.

So much has stayed the same.

This Week in Happy

Valentine’s Day … Josh went back to work full-time again.
I’m loving the week, though I still dealt with a couple of migraines.

Tomorrow’s Birthday Plans

Tomorrow, my baby boy turns NINE YEARS OLD! I’m going to do something special and do an hourly picture taking, celebrating it! Both kids are on Spring Break this week, so it’s PERFECT! This boy has NEVER gone to school on his birthday! It always falls during Spring Break! Madison’s is always during summer vacation as well! Spoiled kiddos!

That kind of luxe just ain’t for us

005/366 [2012] - What I Wore Today
(Sarah @ TM2TS)
I’m not really looking for wholesale clothing, but I do like a good bargain for clothes! The kids are outgrowing their clothes almost faster than we can keep them in them! Ethan’s fully out of size 8’s. Well, sort-of. He’s too tall for them, but they still have to be adjusted to fit him in the waist … and they’re slims! Skinny waist, long legs. Hmm, I wonder where he gets that?

Eventually, they’ll stop growing long enough for us to get them into decent fitting clothes, but for now, they’re either too big or too small. With Ethan, I’d prefer too big. With Madison, I’d almost prefer too small, at least in shirts. They’re a little tighter, but she’s not flashing skin when she bends over either. Ugh! Girls are IMPOSSIBLE to raise, I Say!

Get Your Chores On!

I need to work on a schedule for doing the chores through-out the apartment. I don’t want to be doing the chores all at once, but more on a daily schedule.

Some chores, of course, will be done daily (like the dishes) but the big full-on clean stuff should only have to happen once a week.

Laundry (though that’ll probably be 2 or 3 times a weeks), floor mopping/vacuuming, cleaning the bathrooms, things like that.

So, I got creative with this month’s Hybrid Challenge, at Gingerscraps, hosted by Pixels by Jen, and made a chore book!
