Life can suck at any point. One day you could be healthy as a horse and the next you need an AED or something like that.
I don’t know what has me thinking this way. I guess it’s the fact that my dad turns 51 this year. My sister is having a baby right after her 20th birthday (she’s younger than me when I had Madi). My mom is turning 44 this year. My brother is officially banned from my family (long story :().
Life just sucks right now.
At least, when they do the clerk switch, Josh doesn’t have to worry about them trying to take his job because they have 2 unassigned regs, and by the end of the year, two vacant routes. Yeah, no clerks can become carriers then 😉 :w00t:
What are the two best lines a man could ever say to a woman?
- I was wrong.
- You’re right.
Our friend Mark comes over often (with his awesome wife, Julie, my awesome possum CFW, BTW). Sunday was no exception. I don’t even remember what we were talking about, but Mark goes, “You’re right” and I swear, I’m almost fell off the couch. Hard to do when you’re sitting in the corner of a corner-couch thing (you know, the one with two couches together to make an L-shaped couch?). I, of course, say that, and Mark, as usual, gives me the bird. Oh well,.
In case you couldn’t tell, Mark and I are like siblings, very competitive siblings. We will argue to the death if we have to. Thank god I love his wife, right? In all honesty, I do love Mark. He’s like a brother to me. With my actual brother in Evansville, pretty much in and out of jail, having Mark in my life is just amazing. Julie, too, of course.
Without Mark, I wouldn’t have someone to discuss Voyager with (or to snag the seasons from,). Without Mark, I wouldn’t have met Julie, one of my bestest forever friends (Oh, shut up! Yes, I said that,). Mark is awesome with my kids, and he’s awesome with my husband. AND!! He can take the teasing and picking on that I grew up doing,. Mark is just great.
Now he’s going to read this and get a swelled head. Julie, you better not show this to him!!
My daughter has become the proud of owner of one of her own personalized books. She got it from Frecklebox.com, and she loves it a lot, I think. Next, we’re considering some personalized coloring books for both Ethan and Madi.
While I didn’t have to pay for this one, I’m planning on buying Ethan one now for his birthday. I had so much fun opening the box. I was on pins and needles all day, waiting for her to get home.
The site is really easy to use. I love the fact that it has so many choices on which to get. I almost got her the coloring book instead of the book, but figured the book will get more use out of it now.
Along with getting her name on every single page of the book, Madison also got to have a custom inscription on the inside. It says “To our princess, Love Mommy and Daddy” Madi smiled so broadly when she heard me read that.
She is now sharing her book with her brother, trying to get him quiet so she can read it to him. There’s nothing more exciting than a new book. Having one in your own name just makes it all that more exciting. She’s enjoying it so much, and I honestly think any child, no matter how much they claim to not like reading, would love a book with their name on it.

:omg: I’ve mentioned several times that we have Christmas shopping done. Well, don’t worry, I’m not going to say that I’m not done,. I don’t want to wrap though!! Someone want to do it for me?
I’m currently watching The Princess Bride, and I’m thinking maybe I should pull out some gifts and do some wrapping. I have to wrap Josh’s sister’s gift, Josh’s brother’s girlfriend’s gift, Josh’s sister’s FIANCE’S (that’s the big news as of the 20th) gift, Mark’s gift, Julie’s gift, maybe even a few of the kids. Oye!
My kids are seriously being spoiled this year. There is going to so much candy in their stockings that I think they’ll fall of the wall hooks,. Nope, they’re not spoiled at all 😉 Besides candy, we also picked them up a cookie or two, and some rice krispie treat shapes. I think they’re going to love their Christmas, and that’s all that matters.
:christmas: Are you ready for Christmas?
Okay, I’ve been doing NaNo. I didn’t write a word today because of exhaustion, but I’m not really sure where I’m going with it.
I’ve reached 14000 words yesterday, and man, they’ve already seem to have done everything. Nothing really big seems to be able to happen now 🙁 They’ve already become mates and done that deal. He’s already had to deal with his brother.
Bah!! I don’t know what to do now 🙁
14008 / 50000 words. 28% done!
