Strong enough to protect her. Bold enough to love her.
When good girl Margo Connelly becomes Lamar “Striker” Jennings’s latest assignment, she knows she’s in trouble. And not just because he’s been hired to protect her from an underworld criminal. The reformed bad boy’s appeal is breaching all her defenses, and as the threats against her increase, Margo isn’t sure which is more dangerous: the gangster targeting her, or the far too alluring protector tempting her to let loose.
Though Striker’s now living on the right side of the law, he’s convinced his troubled past keeps Margo out of his league. But physical chemistry explodes into full-blown passion when they go on the run together. Surrendering to desire could be a deadly distraction—or finally prove that he’s the only man qualified to keep her safe, and win her love.
Today is a sad day in history. Twelve years ago, America‘s picture changed. Tomorrow, I’ll be showing pictures of my kids’ reactions. This is the first year that they really understand what happened.
This post is also late, not because of that, but because today (actual today) is my husband’s scheduled day off. His car needed an oil change, so we went out for a bit before the kids got home from school.
Okay, on the layout front. I was up until midnight, but I got it finished!
The templates are by Connie Prince (part of her Instatemps series) and Kathy Winters created the kit (Save the Date series). Each side is linked to the half, so you can see them bigger 😀
BEST thing about Tuesday: I made delicious cookies! WORST thing about Tuesday: It’s official that my camera is dead, and we can’t afford a new one 🙁
I really didn’t want to wake up. I was late getting out of the bed, and I don’t even care.
The kids watched this year, instead of walking in it. They watched with me, Julie, Abby, Julie’s mom and nieces, and a friend of the family and her kids.
The kids got SO excited to see Daddy walking in the parade. They got SO excited when they were told that they had an important job to do on Election Day, which was to make sure the adults in their family and home voted. They liked that, I think!
Today is a huge day.
1. We’re finally showing Bush the door, with the lowest approval rating I think than even Nixon on his day of quitting.
2. We have a bi-racial President stepping into office.
3. We have a President and Vice President who are huge family men. Their families mean everything to them, and it’s OBVIOUS how much they love their wives and family. I love it!
4. Have I mentioned today is the day Barack Obama becomes PRESIDENT!!!
For all of those who voted for McCain, I understand you voted for who you believed would do a better job. I refuse to believe you voted just because you wanted a woman in the office. I hope and pray, though, that you’ll be behind President Barack Obama, and support him. You can disagree with his choices, but be behind him.
Okay, I honestly can say I don’t think I see that happening with some people. I know I’m not behind Bush, and I haven’t ever really been. But, I also know that he made a lot of choices and decisions that hurt me, and hurt my family. I can’t agree with that. And he continued to make those decisions up until the very end.
I’m not going to turn this into a bash against Bush. Everyone knows my feelings on him. It’s not going to be a huge “worshiping” of Obama either.
Speaking of that, WTF is the deal with people saying that Obama is the next Messiah, or that people are acting like he is. I don’t know what the heck people are seeing, but I’ve never noticed anything even close to that. Bleh!
Oh, and one last question: Are we done with Sarah Palin or will she pop up again?
Congratulations on the fabulous and historic election of President Barack Obama!!!
As we celebrate our new President-elect and all the changes he will bring to our nation, we must not turn a blind eye to the final actions of George Bush.
Incredibly, Washington is already buzzing with Bush’s plans to block all investigations of his crimes and even to pardon everyone involved – including Cheney and himself. Chris Matthews is even counting down the days .
Does Bush have the power to pardon everyone in his administration? Yes.
Will he abuse that power to stay out of jail? Only if we let him.
We must create a groundswell of opposition to any pardons by George Bush, so he understands that he will be impeached and prosecuted for issuing corrupt pardons.
Please help us launch a massive movement against pardons by signing our petition to Congress and telling your friends: http://democrats.com/pardon
We will announce additional plans to stop Bush’s pardons in the coming days. Read more about our efforts and join our discussion here: http://democrats.com/bush-pardons
