Wow. I read 5 less books in July than I did in June, but I still read a crapton of books. If I average about 15 books normally a month (because summer means slower, I guess?), that means I should be reading 180 books a year. Good thing I have my goal set to 200 for the year on Goodreads! I’m currently at 129. That’s an average of 18 books a month! That’s absolutely crazy!
In a good way! I guess you can see why I’m a Ravenclaw! ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
Walk the Line, an all-new sexy standalone by #1 New York Times bestselling author J. Kenner, is LIVE!
Elena is too young for me, not to mention she’s my boss’s daughter and my babysitter.
That’s beyond complicated. And I’m not even looking for a relationship—but I can’t deny the attraction that sizzles between us.
I need to ignore it. A single dad, all I want is to take care of my little girl, do my job, and enjoy my friends. Anything more is asking for complications I can’t afford. Asking to be hurt again.
Trouble is, I want her, too. And when our flirty sparks turn to flames, I give in to temptation. Our secret fling is scorching hot, better than I’d even imagined.
But secrets get out, and I could lose my job and my reputation.
And I’m starting to realize she’s the one thing I’m not willing to lose.
**Walk the Line is part of a binge read series by New York Times, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, Publishers Weekly, and #1 International bestselling author of the million copy Stark series, J. Kenner.
Each book in the series is a STANDALONE novel with NO cliffhanger and a guaranteed HEA!
J. Kenner (aka Julie Kenner) is the New York Times, USA Today, Publishers Weekly, Wall Street Journal and #1 International bestselling author of over seventy novels, novellas and short stories in a variety of genres.
Though known primarily for her award-winning and international bestselling erotic romances (including the Stark and Most Wanted series) that have reached as high as #2 on the New York Times bestseller list, JK has been writing full time for over a decade in a variety of genres including paranormal and contemporary romance, “chicklit” suspense, urban fantasy, and paranormal mommy lit.
JK has been praised by Publishers Weekly as an author with a “flair for dialogue and eccentric characterizations” and by RT Bookclub for having “cornered the market on sinfully attractive, dominant antiheroes and the women who swoon for them.” A five time finalist for Romance Writers of America’s prestigious RITA award, JK took home the first RITA trophy awarded in the category of erotic romance in 2014 for her novel, Claim Me (book 2 of her Stark Trilogy). Her Demon Hunting Soccer Mom series (as Julie Kenner) is currently in development with AwesomenessTV/Awestruck.
Her books have sold over three million copies and are published in over twenty languages.
In her previous career as an attorney, JK worked as a clerk on the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and practiced primarily civil, entertainment and First Amendment litigation in Los Angeles and Irvine, California, as well as in Austin, Texas. She currently lives in Central Texas, with her husband, two daughters, and two rather spastic cats.
First, I want to say “HOLY CRAP! I read a lot!” Don’t judge me!
Second, a lot of these were SHORT books, so that’s part of it. Part of it is also on slow days when I have certain bosses, I can read while I’m at work. And I read while I’m in waiting rooms. Did a lot of that this month. Got a lot of decent amount of time off this past month as well 😉
So, here’s my list:
The Falcon Tames The Psychic
The Nanny Proposal
When Tinker Met Bell
The Witch Rescues Her Werewolf
The Genie’s Double Trouble

In case you didn’t feel like counting, that’s 26. Twenty-six books were read by me in June!
Now to see how many books I can read in July! I’m thinking not as many! This month is going to be just a little bit more insane that June was! Three appointments for the month are already set. We’re going to Worlds of Fun on Tuesday. Today we’re going to my father-in-law’s (okay, that means I’ll be able to read but still). Monday might be a good reading day. Wednesday is the 4th and I can read but I’ll be doing more walking than anything 😉
