Books Read in June

First, I want to say “HOLY CRAP! I read a lot!” Don’t judge me!
Second, a lot of these were SHORT books, so that’s part of it. Part of it is also on slow days when I have certain bosses, I can read while I’m at work. And I read while I’m in waiting rooms. Did a lot of that this month. Got a lot of decent amount of time off this past month as well 😉

So, here’s my list:

    • The Falcon Tames The Psychic
    • The Nanny Proposal
    • When Tinker Met Bell
    • The Witch Rescues Her Werewolf
    • The Genie’s Double Trouble
    • A Dragon Speaks Her Name: A Nocturne Falls Universe story
    • Invasion of the Alien Snatchers: A Nocturne Falls Universe story
    • The Doctor Falls For Her Gargoyle
    • How Knot To Marry A Vampire: A Nocturne Falls Universe story
    • The Nymph Next Door
    • Magic’s Promise
    • The Dragon’s Spellbound Alien
    • The Dragon’s Magical Bride
    • The Chef Caters to the Reaper
    • The Dragon Falls For The Fairy Godmother
    • The Alien Who Fell to Earth
    • The Princess Protects Her Huntsman
    • Besphinxed
    • Broccoli & Broomsticks
    • The Trickster Makes A Match: A Nocturne Falls Universe story
    • The Yin to His Yang
    • Beauty and the Bigfoot Hunter: A Nocturne Falls Universe story
    • In Too Deep
    • All Night Long
    • Light My Fire
    • A Dragon Gambles For His Girl

In case you didn’t feel like counting, that’s 26. Twenty-six books were read by me in June!

Now to see how many books I can read in July! I’m thinking not as many! This month is going to be just a little bit more insane that June was! Three appointments for the month are already set. We’re going to Worlds of Fun on Tuesday. Today we’re going to my father-in-law’s (okay, that means I’ll be able to read but still). Monday might be a good reading day. Wednesday is the 4th and I can read but I’ll be doing more walking than anything 😉

11 - November - Light My Fire

I don’t do relationships.

I’ve lived my life hiding my scars, revealing myself only the in the scripts I write and the characters I voice.

Few people know the real me. I’m too careful. Too afraid of getting burned all over again.

Enter Beverly Martin. A movie star. A woman so beautiful and caring she makes my heart ache. She says she wants me—and her touch almost makes me believe that a girl like her could love a man like me.

But being with her would mean letting the spotlight of fame shine on me, too. And I’m not sure I can do that—even if walking away means losing the woman I love.

10 - October - In Too Deep

Hannah Donovan is not my type.

Intellectual and career-focused, she’s a lawyer, and an intimidatingly beautiful one, at that. I’d rather pump iron than open a book, and the only reason I’d go to court would be for a traffic ticket.

She’s the most gorgeous woman I’ve ever seen. So how can I turn down her plea that I pretend to be her fiancé for one weekend?

But I never expected our pretend kisses to feel so real … or for it to lead to a wild night in bed that will forever stand out as the highlight of my sex life.

Our performance convinces everyone, but it was never meant to be more than a fantasy. A short term gig before reality sets back in.

I can’t imagine ever being good enough for her, but I’m hooked. And now I’m determined to do whatever it takes to make this fake engagement real.

All Night Long by J. Kenner

SBPR-ALLNIGHTLONGAll Night Long, an all-new sexy standalone by #1 New York Times bestselling author J. Kenner, is LIVE!

9 - September - All Night Long

I wear designer suits on my body by day and gorgeous women on my arm at night. Some might call me arrogant, with my chiseled jaw and my dark blue eyes. Add in my money and I can get any woman I want.

Now, I want her.

The night I spent with Selma has lived in my most erotic dreams. And ever since she swept back into my life, with her flashing eyes and delicious body, I want nothing more than to make sultry new memories.

But with an election coming up, and an office I want to fill, it isn’t the right time to get involved with a free-spirited girl with a wild streak. A girl who doesn’t abide by the rules. A girl who could get me noticed in all the wrong ways.

A girl who makes me crazy … in all the right ones.

Plotting and Reading

Things to think of when I’m working on NaNoWriMo 2018:

  • I need to world build. It will be in the US, but it will be it’s own city.
  • I need to figure out what types of supernaturals I want in my world. The duhs are shifters, vampires, witches, and such. But I want to go further. I love the idea of all other types as well.
  • I need to get more ideas as well. Right now I am just super inspired!

I’ve currently been reading the Nocturne Falls Universe series, after reading the original series by Kristen Painter. It’s seriously some good stories!

Dragons, Vampires, shifters (of all sorts), Reaper (yes, that type of Reaper), Genie, witches, even gargoyles. Seriously, I’m addicted to the series. I’m addicted to the world.

She opened up her world to other writers as well, and that’s what I’ve been reading now. Like, I’m just going through the books like crazy. Over the weekend, I read like 4 books. No, I’m not exaggerating at all.

I’m a fast reader, I will admit that. I read fast, and I read easily. With having a Kindle Fire, it makes reading on the go a lot easier, but still. To read that many means I was sucked in. And it was with several different authors, as well.

Now, back to my NaNoWriMo thinking.

I want to create my own world. I want it to be full of life and magical. I want it to be unique but not completely. I want magicals and humans. I want to figure out a way to make it so that humans will “believe” what they’re told if they see something that they’re not supposed to see.

This is what I’m going to have to figure out. That’s what I’m going to need to work on.

Camp NaNoWriMo happens in July. I think I might participate for that. That’s what I love about Camp NaNoWriMo. You get to set your own goals and what you want to accomplish.

I think for July I want to have at least 10 characters created, and I need to have the basics for the world created. I need their rules. Their ideals. The main shops. The main “NPCs”. Things like that.

I think I can accomplish that. I think I can do that. No issues.
