Breaking Free by Cherise Sinclair
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
A submissive, Beth must yield to become aroused, but after a sadistic husband, she’s too scared to give up control. The last thing she wants is a ruthless, powerful Dom. But that’s just what she gets.
It involves physical abuse, and not in a good way (not that there is a good way to be physically abused).
There’s consensual punishments, but what Beth went through with her husband was abuse.
Some of it was hard to read. Reading Nolan’s reactions and how he felt made it easier.
The asshole dying? That made it the best.
This is the first book of my 12 to be read for the challenge.
Club Shadowlands by Cherise Sinclair
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
The author explained it would be a fast story and it was. It wasn’t the hottest thing I’ve read but it was good.
I’m not personally into the BDSM scene, but I do like to read about it. This one explained it without it ruining the story.
All in all, a good read, and left me wanting to read more in the series.
