Something Saturday: Book Reviews

I woke up feeling like absolute butt, so I spent half the day (literally) in the bed. So, I read. God, I’m so thankful for my Kindle. I don’t think I’d survive these bad days without it.

My Kind of Wonderful (Cedar Ridge, #2)My Kind of Wonderful by Jill Shalvis
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The second book in the series.

Bailey is a cancer survivor. She was told as a teen that she wouldn’t survive but she beat the odds. She was so focused on not dying that when she is no longer dying, she fights against everyone, including herself, when it comes to love and help.

Hudson was so used to blaming himself for things that he blocked himself from accepting that he was in love.

It is part of a series, but you could read it alone and still be fine.

Darkest Before Dawn (KGI, #10)Darkest Before Dawn by Maya Banks
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

series, book 10. My first in the series, but it won’t be my last.

I love books. The stories are immersive and you feel like you’re reading a movie. So alive.

Honor was a volunteer helping war-torn areas. A group, similar to ISIS/Al Queda destroyed the building she and other volunteers were working in. She was supposed to die in it as well, but didn’t. In not dying, she brought the NWE.

Hancock has to betray her, but is unable in the end.

It’s a great read!
