So, it’s actually 4am on Saturday, and I’m still awake. I’m writing for NaNoWriMo, so that’s my excuse. It isn’t the best one, but hey, it works. I’m also waiting for a batch of newsletters to send, so I don’t have to send it in 3 hours instead. Hey, it works.
I mentioned a newsletter. Well, one gets sent every Friday morning as well. That is why I am up at 7am. It is a very relaxing way to spend the morning, I will be honest.
Josh and Ethan are going camping today (Saturday), so we had to get a few extra things. There is a chance that Josh will be in a tent by himself. Since Academy Sports had a single person tent for less than $30, we had to check it out. So, we got one, as well as a few pairs of thermal underwear for the kids!
Present all wrapped up for Baby J. It is a couple of really adorable onesies. I found them at Academy Sports the first time we went,
We all had lots of layers on. Ethan had on two pairs of socks, plus thermals. Madi had thermals on under her tights and a thermal under the long-sleeve shirt under her costume. We were all super cold when we got home.
While we were out trick or treating, my brother-in-law, Jesse, texted us, offering hot chocolate. We took him up on his offer after we finished. We got greeted by his friendly cat, Moses. Josh got growled at by Eva, the less social cat (she growls at Jesse and Megan, so I don’t think it’s anything personal).
Madison wasn’t happy with me when I asked her to turn around and look at me. She was really getting into Ghost Hunters that Jesse had on. He tried to scare her with stories of things Moses was doing, but making it sound like ghosts were doing them. As he talked, Moses went and hid. Madi laughed and went “Someone is feeling guilty.” Yeah, she so isn’t fazed by stuff like that.
After we left Jesse’s, we needed to get gas for the car. I had to take a picture of the aftermath of the make-up with Ethan’s face. He had rubbed off half of it, so he looked like he had been in a fight and was having issues with jaundice. That, and he was really tired. And he has to camp in the cold later!
And part of the Halloween Trick Or Treating Haul. This is nowhere near all of it. They have two buckets from a Halloween party we went to a couple of weeks ago. And they have what was left after they dumped them into the bag. They made out good, though. Around here, quite a few houses give out full candy bars. Not just the mini ones. Full large. A few were even the King Size (you can see that with the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups right there. Oh, and the HUGE pixie stick!). It is such a wonderful neighborhood for that!
