I Have a Small Dream

Los Angeles

I was born and raised in the States. I don’t have to look into an immigration lawyer los angeles. I’m never going to begrudge someone a chance to become a part of this, well, it was a great nation.

Now this country is torn apart. You’re either for the ACA, or you’re against it. You’re for or against unions. You’re for or against helping those who are ignored.

I hate how divided our nation has become. We’re a melting pot. Ask any person on the street, and you’ll find that they’re a mix of at least two different backgrounds. I’m Irish, German, and English, for the most part. As well as redneck (both the union-member term and the Jeff Foxworthy version). I’m married to a guy who’s Scottish, Native American, and a few other random things. So, that makes our kids a broad mix of that.

I try not to judge a person based on their race, their lifestyle choices, or their backgrounds. Some people just aren’t likable. My dad taught me “Never hate a person for what they are on the outside. Hate them for who they are on the inside.” It’s the same basic principle of not judging a book by it’s cover. It’s a natural part of being human to judge someone based on first impression, and a lot of it has to do with how we’re raised and our personal experiences. I’m leery of guys with their pants around their ankles, simply because of the areas I’ve lived in. I don’t care if they’re white, black, purple, or transparent. I’m going to clutch my purse closer when someone dressed like that walks by. And in Kansas, most of them? Little white boys who think they’re thugs.
