We’re having a risk of severe storms, which means awesome clouds. The chance to take pictures means I’m out there. I took several! Lots of pictures. I’m proud of how they turned out. I busted out BOTH cameras! I’m definitely finding that I’m a total Canon girl. We’re talking about replacing the printer at some point, and instead of going with another HP, we’re talking about going Canon, simply because we know it’ll work wonderfully with my cameras! I’m excited to see what we’ll get next, honestly!
Canon Rebel XS: Great for detailed pictures
I adore this camera. I like am totally loving the quality of the pictures that I take. The only thing that I dislike is that I still only have the base lens. The Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II SLR Lens. I’d love to have a nice telephoto lens for the cloud shots, something like the Canon 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS EF Telephoto Zoom Lens USM. I’d also love a macro. I love taking close-ups, and sometimes, the auto-focus SUCKS, and while it looks GREAT on-screen when I use it on manual focus, when I put it on the computer, it sucks even more! The macro I wouldn’t mind receiving is the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Camera Lens.
Canon PowerShot A3400 IS: Great for fast pictures, and plenty of video
This camera was more of an impulse. It was definitely on my list of things I “had” to have, but I caught it on sale, and it’s a purchase I don’t regret. Like at all. I love it!
The quality of photos is amazing, and when I use my SanDisk Extreme 32 GB card, I can get 3-1/2 hours of video out of it. Pretty sweet, I think!
All in all, I love my pictures, and I really love the quality of them!
