Well, That’s Irony

Day 5 Task

Link up a post you wrote on this day (September 28th) from a previous year. If you didn’t publish something on the 28th, link up a post from that week.

So, the challenge yesterday was to post what we posted a year ago, on that day, for the challenge. Well, I didn’t blog. I had the post open all day, and I just couldn’t think of anything. Why? Because I didn’t blog on 09/28/2011. See my irony?

Review: Colters’ Promise (Colters’ Legacy, #4)

Colters' Promise (Colters' Legacy, #4)Colters’ Promise by Maya Banks

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Okay, I feel a little weird reviewing this.
I’ve read the whole series and well, Angie {Smut Book Club} has me embracing my love of a little bit of smut.
The series is not for the faint of heart. If you’re not into erotica, with pretty explicit descriptions, this isn’t the book for you. Also, if you’re not a fan of multiple partners or BDSM, you won’t like this either. You have been warned.

It’s not as hot and spicy as the previous books. I think, honestly, there were only 3 sex scenes. If I’m going to be honest, I actually skipped over it. I actually yawned. It was sort of “Um, okay” for me. The previous ones weren’t like that, at all.

Review: Rapture: A Novel of the Fallen Angels

Rapture: A Novel of the Fallen AngelsRapture: A Novel of the Fallen Angels by J.R. Ward

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The story opens with beautiful imagery.
Of a cemetery.
So beautifully written that you feel like you’re there.
Matthias is back. He’s the soul. We knew that.
The choice he makes involves someone who knows of Beth {Dark Lover} by name only. I got excited when I read that sneak peek, thinking, “OOOH!! Vampires too” but nope. No one from the Black Dagger Brotherhood was involved. I’m wondering if it’ll tie together though, because of the angel that saved Tohr.
Anyways, another suspicion I have: Nigel is Dog. I swear! How else is Nigel always there when Dog isn’t, and visa versa?
