Memories Already Being Made

Untitled-2

I believe I chose the best word ever for 2012. I chose Acceptance/Accept in 2011, and it really made a big impact in my life. I was able to let things go easier. I was able to build healthier, happier relationships. I just accepted what I could change and did, and what I couldn’t, and just walked away. Amazing how well that worked! It got to the point where I didn’t even realize that I was.

So, I chose MEMORY for 2012. Well, Sunday, we went out. We went to several places. I left little markers for myself as I went on Foursquare. My kids probably have a few memories of me picking on them to stay behind Daddy, and pulling them back, but it was to keep them safe. Madison nearly walking into a pole once, and Ethan almost into a display helped them understand.

I got a few things to help with the memory making. I picked up some fun spiral paperclips and post-its, to use on my HUGE binder/planner (shown in this picture with my Colts pen!). While the planner doesn’t fit in my purse, I do have a pad of paper sitting in my purse, for notes, plus my phone, of course :D

The kids also got a new pencil sharpener. We’ll see how long this one lasts. Madi went through FOUR in 2011 :O FOUR! Yeah, FOUR!

2012 is bringing a few familiar themes as well:

  • annoyance from Josh because I’m sticking a camera in his face. He’ll just learn to deal with it, or we’ll all just learn to love his “Get that thing out of my face” face :D
  • Ethan doesn’t quite ever look at the camera, and he’s always tanned, just like his father :O
  • Madison will just continue to get more and more beautiful. I seriously love the headband she got for Christmas. I think she loves it too!
  • Oh, and organization. This one is for batteries. We go through AAs & AAAs like they’re candy. Don’t tell me to use rechargeable, please. They’re WORTHLESS when it comes to how long they hold a charge. They last the same amount of time, no matter if I charge them 5 minutes, or if I charge them 24 hours. Which isn’t even that long!
