The Gates of Mordor Have Opened

Yeah, not really. Yesterday, we went to Bonner Springs for the RenFest. The kids had a fabulous time. I got a few dirty looks because I got tired of Ethan just wandering, and grabbed him by the back of his shirt and pulled him back. Had to do that at least 4 times an hour. FUN!

Otherwise, the kids were great. And good, for the most part. I was a little short-tempered. No sleep because Josh was a twitchy mess, PLUS Claritin D, even after eating something. OI! But I was able to breathe, and attitude much improved with a soda and pizza.

We saw a pony/miniature horse-zebra hybrid. It was pretty nifty. Poor girl in the shot wasn’t too thrilled with the pictures, I don’t think.

Ethan (as well as the rest of us) enjoyed cheesecake on a stick. I could have done without the chocolate. It just didn’t work for me. I like chocolate, but not on my cheesecake Open-mouthed smile

It’s the Susie!! Not shown: Shiner. She’s under the camera. Like, literally, the camera was resting on her head. The mysterious feet? Josh’s Open-mouthed smile

At the end of the day, the kids were worn plum out, and I think that’s okay. They had fun. We had fun. All in all, a good day.
