Apparently, there is a lot that one must do to get ready for a birthday, especially when you live in a very small apartment that is going to add 3 or more bodies into the area.
He looks so thrilled that it was his birthday, doesn’t he? ![]()
She is so not ready to go to school. I think she would have rather just climbed back into bed, ![]()
It looked really gloomy when we stepped outside. We were also a little chilly, because it was windy as all get out. Days like this really make me wish that Kansas invested more in wind energy than they currently do.
Trying to take a picture when the wind is blowing is hard. At least Madi had some left-over sugar cookies to enjoy while standing at the bus-stop!
I totally had to take a quick shower yesterday morning so I could shave. Quick showers mean an increased risk for nicks. Got lucky! Didn’t feel this one happen!
Did you wear your green? The kiddos and I did.
I love my Happy Bunny shirt!
So, after I talked to Josh at lunch, I got my act together, put on some make-up, and headed to Wal-Mart. I had to pick up Ethan’s cake, and a couple more gifts for him.
Josh mentioned that he wanted to get Ethan some Army Men for his birthday, because they go so well with Buzz, which he was getting, and Woody, which he had. So, I found some Army Men. What I didn’t realize was that they made a hell of a lot of noise. *shudder* I hate noisy toys!!
I picked up a few little extras, and looked for canned air. Mark, our friend (and Josh’s former co-worker from when he worked at Wal-Mart) told us that there wasn’t any.
It was on order, but no idea when more would be coming in. *sucktastic* ![]()
So, I headed to the check-out and then home. Of course, I didn’t want the cake to get messed up, so I buckled it up in the front seat with me. The back hatch has 2 strollers and a diaper-genie thing in it (anyone in Topeka want them? Just e-mail me!)
Since spring and summer, and FLIP FLOP season is coming upon us, and getting closer and closer, it was time to get those feetsies into shape. No cracked heels for me! This stuff feels really good and smells so yummy.
Also picked up some nail polish for the toes. It’s more fun to use glitteriness on the toes because you can’t see where they chip as badly ![]()
Then I took some time out to eat me some lunch. I was HUNGRY. I was so hungry, I turned into camera fool Sarah, XD. Well, maybe not, but oh well, I was having fun!
The sky looked so amazing yesterday. I just love taking pictures of clouds. Whether they’re with my cell or my actual camera, I love it. ![]()
So, before I did dishes, I decided I was going to paint my toes. Might as well get them done. Then I did some dishes. I hate doing dishes, but it’s so much more tolerable now that I don’t have to worry about the dishwasher leaking ![]()
Around 5, I started dinner. I fixed Ethan’s favorite meal: pizza and breadsticks. Well, I did Texas Toast instead, but it worked. He loves Texas Toast ![]()
While I did that, I read How to Woo a Reluctant Lady by Sabrina Jeffries. It’s a really good novel. Part of the Hellions of Halstead Hall series. Yes, I have an addiction to reading. ![]()
and a birthday boy enjoying his cake. Wasn’t thrilled with the flash, ![]()
