Yesterday …

We went to , KS. works there. It was my first time ever going,. We’ve driven through on the way to my folks, but never really visited.

The Castle in Lawrence
I got to see a castle. That was pretty cool!!

It wasn’t the prettiest day to do anything, but I’m glad it didn’t storm like it looked like it would for a bit!

We made sure we took some snacks, so we didn’t have to spent a crazy amount eating lunch in town. Madi and had their own bag of Combos 🙂

There’s a park right across the street from one of the post offices (there are two). There’s a train there, and Ethan was so excited to check it out. He was sad that it wasn’t blue and the eyes didn’t move. Nor did it not talk 🙁

There were definitely some gorgeous houses, but sadly, no yards, and expensive as all get out!!

Million dollar house in Lawrence
This house was listed for $1million. Yes, you read that right. ONE MILLION smackaroos! No yard. House isn’t even that big. Hell, not even in that great of a location or neighborhood!

I got to see the grave of the creator of basketball.

Close up of the plaque. I felt wrong walking towards it though. Josh later told me that Michael Jordan had stood in the same area, so yeah, that explains it (since I’m not a fan of basketball, but I do know the impact that Jordan had on the sport and on our nation) 😛

    • I doubt it, but considering a hotel in Lawrence is about 6 stories up, and about 6 stories down, I wouldn’t be surprised 😉
