My sister texted me earlier, telling me that she was taking my nephew, Hunter, to the Emergency Room. He was congested, had a slight temp (99F), and was puking up what he was eating. Thankfully, she doesn’t have Wholesale Insurance for him, so she was able to be seen fast. It could also be the fact that he’s only three months old. He was sent home with the advice to use a humidifier because he’s too young for decongestants. Strange how quickly things on that front change, since when Madi was that age, they could very well have prescribed them for her.
It worried me though because my friend, Michelle’s son, Thomas, also ended up the hospital this week, because of Rotavirus. Icky stuff, that. He’s only 6 weeks old, so it was even more urgent. He seems to be doing well, now as well, but it was a bit dicey there for awhile. Last I heard, he was still in the NICU, but he was pissed that they were limiting his intake of formula, which I think is a good sign.

Found out that Thomas passed his tests with flying colors, and that Hunter, while still congested, is feeling much better.
