As some might now, I’m a panic maniac when it comes to my truck and the brakes. After having one vehicle’s brakes go out, I’m overly cautious as I put and paranoid as everyone else says, . Bleh, and add to it that I need a new battery, and maybe a car repair estimate, I’m not looking forward to it.

I do have an upside to all of this. My dad is a mechanic. While he may not work on cars as his main profession anymore (he does cranes and lifts, etc now), he still puts around in car repair for family and friends as a side job. So, that means I get the car repair estimates for free, and most times, since he’ll most likely have the parts on hand, the car repair free. Works for me, .

If we do have to take it to an auto repair shop, I’ll be letting Josh do the talking. Why? Because I’m female and even my dad told me that most mechanics and shop managers will see female and try to screw them out of money. Yeah, that’s how the business works. I’ve seen it in electronic stores as well, though, but I know just as much about what I’m looking for, or more, so they don’t get too far with me on that aspect.

So, changed your oil recently?

I have removed my StartBar for Vista, and instead using ObjectDock. I think my brother-in-law will take one look at it and ask, “when can you put OSX on Windows?”. Okay, maybe not really, but hey, it’s worth a shot ;)

I’m tired of struggling over bills. I’m tired of dealing with the cost of shit going up, but hours going down. I’m sick and tired of this life right now.

I just want to be put out of my misery, literally and figuratively. I wish this life was a bit easier. We’re having to cut back more and more with the stuff we have. What’s next? The internet? Well, how will I pay certain bills that are *only* payable online without a fee? The TV? Then we have to shell out more money for DVDs because the local channels do not come in here at all.

This means we’re having to put off buying a house more and more because the post office can’t guarantee hours for anyone anymore. The regulars get their 40 no matter what, but at the expense of the PTF’s getting any sort. That means Josh, since the lowest on the ladder, is one of the first to get sent home, if he’s even scheduled to come in.

I know I have a lot of things to be thankful for, but right now, I can’t see it, at all. I can’t see anything but this misery that we’re drowning in. Sorry kids, looks like we won’t be having a Christmas right now.

There are several products out there that I wish I could test and blog/vblog about, but they cost more money than we can afford It sucks SO MUCH!!

Yesterday, I signed up for NaBloPoMo. Nope, I swear, I’m not insane. Okay, maybe I am. On top of NaNoWriMo, I’ve got to be absolutely out of my mind

Last night, I went to the “How to Write a Novel in 30 Days” introduction for the Topeka area of NaNo. I drug along Julie to the Topeka Public Library. I’ve never been to it, and holy crap on a stick, that place is f’ing HUGE!! I’m in love with it. And me, being me, I gots my library card, too

Now I’m off to do more and more pre-writing, and maybe post a few times on the NaNo forums. I’m hoping some of my bloggie readers are doing NaNo this year and will want to join in some writing contests (word wars and things). If so, here are my contacts:

It’s cold here in Kansas. Very, very cold. Currently sitting at 34 degrees. We’re sitting with a freeze warning, and they keep adding hours to it because of the wind chill. Freaking BRR!!

So my plans for today? Staying inside and bundling up with my boy. Madi’s at school. She has heat there ;) *yawn* Maybe a nap will work.

Mark and Julie came over tonight. I, all of us, I think, had a lot of fun. We watched Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. That prompted some music downloading from me. We also played some Wii Sports. I’m sitting at exactly 1000 on bowling. So we played some golf. I did sucktastic, .

While they were here, I pre-ordered One Silent Night from Walmart.com. I got it for $5.88 with shipping. Yeah, not going to knock that, when the list price for the book is $6.99. . But, to read it, I must write my 1667 words that day. Yeah, Julie’ll finish it long before I do

Speaking of NaNo (Yes, I was): there’s a meet-up in Topeka tomorrow at the Topeka Public Library. Josh was leery of me going by myself, and I now have a partner in crime: Julie!! Since she got me hooked on my love of Dark Hunters, she can come with me for the project that will have me writing a “fan-fiction”.

Last thought for the night: STAY WARM!! We’re under a freeze watch here in Topeka. That’s freaking COLD for October, isn’t it? So, you gonna stay warm? I don’t want to hear any complaints about frozen tookuses in the morning!
