Less Words Wednesday
The faces of my daughter. Yeah, I can remember to take pictures of her, but can’t remember to make her lunch. Gah! I’m such a bad mommy
Madi’s Wish Fulfilled
My daughter isn’t spoiled, though sometimes it seems like she is. Since she’s been so good at school, and in the mornings, and at night, we decided we would get her Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Beginning as a reward for all of her hard work, on the day it came out. We didn’t tell her we were getting it for her. It was a surprise.
Trust me, when she saw it, she was definitely surprised. She goes “Wow! For me? Thank you”. She was so shocked, and so humble about the gift, that it made me proud to be her mother. That meant we were raising her right. She understands, for the most part, the difference between “I want” and “I need”. Ethan’s still learning that.
Now it’s time for that wait for Sims 2 Apartment Life for the Sims 2 to come out
Mark, our friend who works in the Walmart Electronics department will be texting me when it goes on the shelves. It was supposed to be in today, but it didn’t happen
Weekly Plans – August 25 through August 31
Posted by Sarah in weekly plans, working, writings on August 25, 2008
The Goal: Each week, you figure out what you need to do for the following week. No real point, but it’s a great way of keeping track of plans and things.
Monday, August 25
- Try and corral my son, who seems to have non-stop energy
- Pay some bills. Gotta pay those credit card folks
- Work on tags. I meant to work on them last week (did do some Monday), but Josh was off all week, so I fell behind again
- Learn me some WordPress template coding
- Do some cleaning
- Restart Project 365. I can do it, I can do it!
Disney Comes to Play
Recently, we got a free package in the mail. It was from Social Spark, about a product for me and my family to check out. I was excited, because they didn’t tell us what it was going to be, just the hint that it was going to involve a game. Imagine my children’s excitement when it came and contained our own copy of Disney Bingo. My husband was even excited to try it out.
We played several games. I played “caller” a few times, as did my husband. My kids had the time of their lives, I think, playing it. They constantly ask now to play. Since it’s such an easy game to set up, we have no problems letting them play together. I wonder, though, if part of the reason they loved to play was the prizes. The first one to call “BINGO” got 3 pieces of candy (Kisses), the next got 2, and the last got 1. I have a feeling they enjoyed that part just as much.
With my husband working random days and hours at the post office, having something that’s easy to play and set up is a great way for us to spend some time together as a family. My kids are excited just to play. Winning isn’t anything big to them. They get excited if they come in last on MarioKart for the Wii,. Spending time with Mommy and Daddy, though? That’s the highlight of their life!!
Remember, Disney Bingo next time you’re looking for a fun, easy game to play with your family. With a variety of game versions to play, you can’t lose.
