Thursday Thirteen - 17th Edition - Trip Planning

This week’s Thursday Thirteen is about things I need to get or make sure I pack for my trip to Indiana. Since I leave in a little over a week (my parents arrive a week from TOMORROW), I need to do this stuff, NOW!!

Thirteen Things to Ready for a Trip

  • Laptop and all it’s accessories
    I definitely cannot forget those
  • Two Screen Portable DVD Player
    Two kids who like to look at the road, and it makes them sick. So, maybe, this’ll help? It’ll at least keep them entertained, xD
  • A couple of little Cooler Bags
    Something to keep some water and Sierra Mist cool for the kiddos. Madi’ll drink Sierra Mist, so it’ll help her tummy, in case she feels sick
  • Pepto-Bismol Children Chewable Tablets
    We’ll give these to the kids before the trip, and after we eat (8 hour trek, with no stops, so we’ll have to stop at least once), to help prevent puking )
  • Pack the camera and both memory cards
    Too bad I can’t convince him to buy me a new one. I must also remember to back the digital recorder, xD, since Josh said Dad can use it for Megan’s graduation ) . I’m just not allowed to touch it
  • Cellphone and wall charger.
    I don’t have a car charger, since this one will be getting replaced ASAP ) Maybe while we’re in Virginia, or maybe a quick trip to the Cingular store in Evansville. Shouldn’t be *too* hard to find one, right?
  • Makeup!!
    Yeah, I don’t wear it often, but it’s cheaper to pack it then to have to go out and buy more, ;)
  • Hair styling products
    Including my straightener and shampoo (Ummy yummy orange-scented by Herbal Essences)
  • The kids
    Come on, did you expect me to forget them?
  • My Horse Stuffie
    I got a stuffed horse a few months ago that I’d douse with Josh’s body spray. I plan on buying a travel-size bottle of the spray, so I can keep his smell with me always )
  • BOOKS! Lots of books
    I’m definitely going to be taking the Dark Hunter books, xD, since Acheron comes out in August *dances*
  • Insurance cards, credit cards, and cash
    Never leave home without it )
  • Clothes
    No, I was planning on going around naked ;)

    @ Julie :: Imagine trying to apply mascara while hearing that song. o.O That was killer trying to apply it with tears. ;)

    @ Amy :: Well, I’m going to be away from my husband for over 3 weeks (May 18 through June 15), so I need something to keep him with me. We’re gonna be 8 hours apart, the longest we’ve been apart since we moved in together 6 1/2 years ago. o.O
