Taking Advantage
Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008As I’ve said many times, from around May 18th through June 15th, I’ll be in Evansville, IN, visiting my parents, and testing myself. Okay, maybe I never mentioned the testing myself, but that’s a big point of the trip. The test? To see how well or how bad I can make it without Josh. It’s more of a personal test, more than anything. I need to know that I can make it if something happens to Josh and I with our life, or if something happens to Josh.
So, in preparation for that vacation/trip, I’m got
downloading 5 different sets of iPodcasts: Sherrilyn Kenyon, Harry Potter, RA Salvatore, Dungeons and Dragons, and Wizards of the Coast. With those five podcast categories, you can see my total and utter geekiness, but honestly, it works for me. I like my geekiness. On top of those, I also get the WP podcast that comes out weekly.
Since I’m gonna have to be on the computer for a bit while waiting for those to download, I’m working on my Writo de Mayo. It’s similar to NaNo, but in May, and more free with the goals. My goals for May is to write a minimum of 100 words a day, and a minimum of 5000 words for the month. I went a little light since I’ll be out of town for half of May. To make sure I reach that goal, I’m starting in the middle of April. My goal is to reach 5000 before my parents arrive, which should be May 16th. I’ve reached 215 so far.
In site related news, I removed Twitter Tools. Okay, not completely, since I love having Twitter update when I’ve updated my blog, but I’ve removed the option for it to post automatically every day. It was a lazy way of getting out of posting every day here. Honestly, I’ve got enough laziness in my life. I don’t want to do it here as well.
I'm a 26 year-old female living in Kansas with my husband and our two kids. The purpose of this blog is more of a release of all things, but I do have a couple of other blogs for other endeavors.
