Venus Vibrance Review – What a Joke

I bought the at the advice of my husband. He thought it would be better for me, since it supposedly exfoliates and all that at the same time. My review? Not all that it’s cracked up to be. I got more nicks with it than I’ve gotten in a long time. Maybe it’s because it’s the first time I used it, but I’m not a fan of nicks.
My do feel smoother, but there were a lot of skipped areas. It’s harder to tell where you’ve been. Plus, with the , it felt like I wasn’t getting as close of a shave as with a regular Venus 🙁
That, and my ? I shaved like normal, and had to go back over it with the razor off, just to get the areas that it kept skipping ouch

Nice thing though, is that with all of the , the blades are all interchangeable, so I don’t have to use the Vibrance blades with the Vibrance. I can use the ones I get for $8, instead of the $10 Vibrance. That works for me.

I don’t seem to have a lot of luck with the . I’ve tried most of the blades, and so far, just the regular work for me. Once again, proving that my body prefers the cheap stuff over the more expensive.

  1. @ Allison :: I’ve used my husband’s razor when forced, but I don’t like the handles. That’s the reason I like the Venus’s. The handles are much more comfortable. Then again, my husband’s razor is the one he’s had since he started shaving 10 years ago.

  2. My mom swears by men’s razors, she says they don’t make them sharp enough for women, so when I was at my boyfriend’s house and found my razor was gasp rusted like solid, I picked one of three on the counter, prayed it wasn’t his dad’s, and lo and behold, it wasn’t either of theirs. So I’ve been using a gillette fusion (that I bought for my own xD) since last summer. To hell with pink frilly razors!

  3. I have this razor…bought it when it came out 2 years ago…still has the same battery in it. I rarely use the thing as it is intended…forget to turn it on all the time, lol! I never noticed a difference…at all.

  4. @ Linda :: I’m glad I’m not the only one who didn’t see any drastic results with it. Maybe I’ll have better results if I use it more than once.

  5. Josh has a Gillette razor (he looked over my shoulder and corrected the spelling). I don’t like the handle, but I loved the blade. According to him, I should be able to use his blades on mine. One day, I’ll have to try it, and prove him right or wrong 😉

  6. I haven’t used this razor but my friend swears by it. But then again she takes the head off and uses it for something else… ewww @ the thoughts.

I love the mach3 mans razor. They are great on legs (plus on armpits) and I find I don’t cut myself unlike other razors. They also last longer then cheap razors – as long as you don’t leave them in the shower to get rusty.
