101 Things in 1001 Days - Goals 1-10
101 Things in 1001 Days - Discussion of the first 10 goals. My goals are written in alphabetical order, not order of importance, just so its easier for me to keep track of.
Goal 01: Attempt to blog each and every day
I’m helping myself with this goal, because I joined Blog365. The goal is to write every day, no matter what. Heck, not even writing; things like Wordless Wednesdays count
Goal 02: Attempt to write in my offline journal every day
This is part of Embodiment on LJ. This will be my written record of how my year went.
Goal 03: Be more social
I meant this as more of an offline goal, but I think I can bring it out into the online world as well. I’m an extremely shy person. Those who only know me online probably wouldn’t believe it, but those who know me just offline, or a combination of both *waves at Mish*, they’ll agree with me, I believe. The goal isn’t to overcome the shyness, but to not let it control me.
Goal 04: Be spontaneous with the one I love
Josh and I don’t take enough time out for each other. We’re both so exhausted by the end of the day that we just cuddle for a bit, and then roll to our sides of the bed,
So sad and pathetic.
Goal 05: Become a published author in some way
Yeah, I could count the blogging as such, but I don’t. I want something a bit more tangible. I just don’t really know how to go about it. The Poetry.com crap is a scam, so I want something legitimate.
Goal 06: Buy a car/SUV/truck
We’re actually going to be looking on Sunday, to get ideas. Then, Josh’ll be getting a hold of the bank and finding out exactly what we can and can’t get (well, should be today). Since we won’t have it before the 1st, no matter what, it’s a legitimate goal, and most likely the one I’ll achieve first.
Goal 07: Buy a decent camera
Our Nikon is awesome, but it’s broken (the battery holder thing clip snapped off in August). Josh and I want something that takes video, but with sound. I can use it for video blogging, and it’ll be a bit better of a picture, compared to the cell phones,
Goal 08: Buy a decent desktop
That should be coming with tax return, so what, a month and a half, two months? Definitely do-able. The one we want will just end up getting better,
.
Goal 09: But a decent laptop
Our goal with this is something I can take on road trips, to upload videos, and if we’re in a good wi-fi spot, send them to family and friends. It’ll also be our “expensive” portable DVD player, and our way of keeping track of our itinerary or something. Plus, it means I can do whatever in bed, so that Josh doesn’t feel “lonely” like he claims now. Also, speaking of Josh, he’ll be able to hop onto the desktop, and play some games without “depriving” me of my PC time
Goal 10: Buy a house
That’s our goal for March/April, since our lease is up at the end of April. We’re hoping we stay within $800 a month for house payments, but as long as we’re not going over $1000, we should be okay, but don’t quote me on that.

I'm a 26 year-old female living in Kansas with my husband and our two kids. The purpose of this blog is more of a release of all things, but I do have a couple of other blogs for other endeavors.

Sounds like a plan chic! I didn’t know about the blog365 but it souds fun!!! *hugs* GL with those goals and I’ll be hounding you to see if you complete them eh? LoL.
Manda » Blog365 sounds like it’ll be pretty entertaining. I’m definitely spreading the word on it,
, for anyone who’ll listen. I like the fact that it’s got concessions for those who can’t be at the PC all day, or even every day, and that they can write it by hand. Works out well for everyone involved.
Hounding will be a good thing. I hope like hell I can achieve these. I don’t think I set them too high. And, I think I did pretty well with having them work out together.
