Yes, this is a weird topic, but I blame Mr. Fab for it,
.
I’m wondering:
How Do You Wash Your Laundry?
I do it the lazy way: just toss everything in and wash in cold.
We used to use Tide for ColdWater, but our clothes come out just as clean with other versions of Tide, so now we just get the stuff with Downey. Then I use a Downy ball for my softner (there’s no official “rinse” cycle, so it makes life easier). I do use dryer sheets as well. Clothes smell so much better that way.
So, how ’bout you?

Personally, I separate my work uniforms most of the time. Something about washing the scrubs with the other clothes. But if I’m in a pinch, I have been known to throw it all together.
Towels on their own because we go through so MANY. Nate can’t ever use the same towel twice, and I grew up in a house where we used teh same towel for 2 or 3 days and hung it up to reuse. Everyone had their own towel, but we used them for more than one shower.
I will fill the washer and wash on warm if I’m the only one home and it’s going to be done before Mr Man comes home… otherwise it’s just easier to play by his rules.
Detergent wise, we use Sun here. We used A&H in KS, but it was too damn expensive here. If I can afford it I use oxyclean instead of bleach. and then generic dryer sheets.
For bleach, we use Clorox Gentle Care and Clorox 2. Clorox 2 is used for the towels and some of the kids clothes. Josh gets Gentle Care for his uniforms (as long as I put it in first, XD … drop it right on, and it then becomes spotty,
).
Josh has to sort the clothes. His clothes, my clothes, kids clothes, towels. Then he sorts all the “people” clothes into lights and darks. My way just takes up less room in the hallway,
. Maybe when we get a house, I’ll organize better, *snort*
Personally, I’d rather have the dryer go out. At least you can hang them up that way.
