Shopping for cell phones drives me nuts. I find one that I like, and *boom*, it’s not compatible in some way with things we already have. *grumble*

Josh has the Samsung, and I love his phone, but I want something different (his is black, mine’ll be red, but still, not enough of a difference for me, XD). I’ve got a Nokia version, and I like it. My first cell was a Nokia. It finally died after 5 years (Mom had it for awhile, and then she gave it to me). Oh well, I’ve got SEVEN MONTHS before my time is up on this current plan (thankfully, ATT knows I switched cells, but since it’s pre-paid originally, doesn’t count against me).

Yeah, I know the wedding isn’t for awhile, but I can’t help but make sure I have certain ideas nailed down. Good news is that Josh has declared, whether we can afford North Carolina or not, we’re having the same theme either way. That means beachy, but classy and fun. Attire will be super casual. My dress is most likely not going to be expensive. My gals will be able to wear whatever they want, as long as it’s blue and a dress, . The guys’ll have their choice of khaki pants or khaki shorts, and long-sleeve white shirts (button-ups), but can wear them rolled or down. Super easy, but super awesome

Heck, even the food is going to be sweet and simple: backyard barbeque. Josh and I both go nuts over hamburgers and hotdogs, barbeque ribs, and all that yummy goodness, and it would so fit the theme of the wedding, so we’re going that way. Most likely, depending on budget, it’ll involve grilled shrimp or something, but that’s just because I’m a nut for seafood. Right now, we’re working on ideas for those who prefer to not eat red meant and similar, but for now, these basic ideas work.

Okay, I’m slightly hungover from the party, but damn, I had a lot of fun. Had a guy attempting to hit on me, and I had Jeremy and Kristen ready to kick the dude’s ass (Kristen’s brother’s roommate). I had just a bit to drink. Okay, a lot, XD. 4 glasses of punch, which had half a bottle of rum in it (Bacardi’s, so the good stuff). Then I had 3 shots, one of straight vodka (*gag*) and two of vanilla vodka (*yummy gag*).

In a few hours, I’m going to be getting ready for my first grown-up Halloween party. My costume is starting to become hilarious. It started out as just a basic gothic faery. Now? With the accessories, I’m going as a gothic, but girly, faery, XD. I’ve got the basic costume (dress and wings), my tattoo sleeves, my “ice queen” make-up, fishnet hose, these adorable fake nails that are black french tips, with one finger on each hand bearing a flower, a black choker with a spider-web dangle, black “combat” boots, and I think that’s it. Oh, yeah, and I’m wearing push-up cups, to make the boobages bigger. That’s more of an “oh shit, I fell out of my bra” prevention, though, XD.

Speaking of Halloween, though. There’s going to be an awesome special guest on CSI: New York, so Josh has been warned that if we’re not done by 9pm, I’m skipping out and leaving the kids with him. Who is it, pray tell? That would Robert Picardo, aka “The Doctor” from Voyager. *giggles* I so cannot wait. Josh already has plans on seeing if there’s anyway of making it so that we can record it on the computer (PC has the capabilities, just no idea how to do it).

Today? Not my day. I’m extremely pissy and moody. Everything is pissing me off. WTF is going on? Please tell me it’s something in the air? It’s just because I’m tired right?

I don’t want to do anything. I want to climb in bed and just sleep the day away. Guess who gets to do that? That’s right, Josh does. He’s the one who wakes up two hours before the kids get up. He’s the one who’s bitching about a backache and refusing to do anything about it. He’s going to be the one bitching tomorrow because he didn’t get enough sleep because he slept all day today.

Someone, PLEASE! Just make this fucking stop!! I want a normal day. I want a happy day!

Goodness, buying Christmas gifts for kids is never once easy. It can be frustrating, especially when they don’t really know what they want. Josh and I have a few ideas on what we want to get ours, but beyond those basics, we’re clueless.

Madison absolutely adores ponies. Every single thing to do with them, and she goes absolutely nuts over them. She’s got one that’s as tall as she is, three different ones that sing some sort of song, one that’s a My Little Pony baby, and several other just stuffed. She saw the commercial for this particular one and went “That’s Madi’s pony”. In Madison speak, that’s “Mommy, I want that”, . I love her way of asking for things.

Unfortunately, for us, the price is a major set-back. There’s no way we could afford that, nor my family, or Josh’s. Hopefully we can find her something similar. There are several other pony-like things that she’s asking for. Also, who knows, in two months, prices might have gone down by then.

I know! This looks like something totally inappropriate for a 2-year-old, but I swear, this is something he’d enjoy. He’s constantly taking the old camera (film cartridge) and pretending he’s taking pictures. He’s always pointing at things for me to take pictures of when I have the camera. He’s also got a thing for electronics. It’s designed for ages 3 to 9, and he’ll be three in March. That’s not much of a difference. I think he could handle it. They also have a pastel version of it that would be perfect for Madison. For the price, we can definitely get two of them, without a problem.

Sick Babies
My poor little mites. They both got their first colds of the season, and is it ever a doozy. Ethan’s already running a fever (100.1, down from 100.7 -by ear thermometer – recommended by Madi’s pediatrician). He’s all congested, and not drinking much. Madi’s just a bit congested, but, ironically, now wanting to potty-train o.O Weird, right?

Besides just leaving Ethan be (which is what he wants), and trying to give him some medicine to help the symptoms (right now it’s just some Tylenol), any suggestions on how to make him feel better. Lunch is already going to be chicken noodle soup (man, some foresight there, grabbing quite a few cans while I was at the store). Madi gags when I give her meds, so I’m just going to let her be. Her doctor has Saturday hours, so if she gets bad, I can still take her in. Ethan’s doc is still in the air because of doctor switches prior to moving to Hubs’s insurance.

On the home front of potty training, though: me having to concentrate on Ethan is making Madi potty by herself. I’m not hounding her about it, so she’s went pee once, at least (she doesn’t always say, she just runs to the potty, XD) and poop once She’s doing awesome and I’m so proud of her!!
