My Mother’s Day
Besides spending 3/4 of it sleeping (damn sinus infection), Josh and the kiddos were amazing. They were such good little ones today. They understood Mommy didn’t feel good, and let me relax and sleep,
. Josh woke up about an hour after I put the kids down for nap (he’s working 9pm to 6am until Friday), and basically forced me to go to bed (I kept konking on the couch courtesy of Sudafed).
Josh downloaded a huge stack of music for me. All of it from 80’s movies or old school bands that I adore, like Cocktail’s soundtrack, tons (and I mean TONS) of Beach Boys songs. He got my ultimate favorite of Kokomo, and it made me smile, even though I could barely speak to say thank you. Kristen brought over a jewelry box for me. I don’t have one (mine got busted right before I moved from Indiana). The one she had was nearly identical to the one I had in Evansville, except light wood, instead of the cherry that I had. I almost cried seeing it, because I loved my jewelry box
Now to fill it up with jewelry,
. I’ve got earrings, now it’s time for rings and things,
.
Sad thing is that I missed a call from my brother, Daniel. It bummed me out, but Josh could barely hear me (or understand me), so phone calls weren’t smart at the time,
. I miss him, and the rest of my family, something fierce. I hope I get to see him when we go to Indiana in June. He’s never met the monster that’s Ethan. I was pregnant with him the last time I saw Daniel.
I'm a 26 year-old female living in Kansas with my husband and our two kids. The purpose of this blog is more of a release of all things, but I do have a couple of other blogs for other endeavors.
